Kate's 1st Swim meet!

Today was the first swim meet of the summer for Will and Kate. It was also Kate's first swim meet.  I could not help but think back to these days when Kate first came home from China and she went to all the boys swim meets....

I love how she just held her hand on Harry's little back.  In fact, Harry was Kate's age in these pictures. My how time flies!
Anyway, back to today...

Kate did really well. You always hope at this age and at their first meet, that they just make it all the way across the pool.  That was a breeze for Kate. Her strokes looked good, she just needs to put a little speed into them;)

I think she was a little nervous. She swam backstroke and freestyle. Will was scheduled to swim 6 events. He did really well but they called the meet due to lightning so he did not finish all his events.

I am very proud of both our swimmers for doing their best!  We don't have any meet results yet.

    Those pictures of Kate when she was little are soooo sweet. She looks like a natural in the water. I hope she has a wonderful first season.

    I'm sure your stomach was in a knot when they called "swimmers take your mark"! My mom used to be a timer at our meets and had fun with the other moms. Swim team is an awesome memory I have of my childhood! Go Kate!

    Way to go Kate!!! My guess is once she starts kicking those gorgeous long legs a little faster she will be winning all of her races!!!!!!! Sienna and Ruby have
    their first meet on Wednesday... However, here they have to do all 4 strokes.. (I will let you know how that goes!! :))

    Congratulations on finishing your first official meet!!!!!! I hope Will did great too!!

    I can't get over how tall Kate has gotten!! We are a big swimmer family and I just love the meets:) I'm hoping to sell Madeline on it next summer!!

    Go Kate and Will!! Love the "throwback pics" of Kate! Too adorable!!!!

    We are in the 2nd year of of "swim lessons" and although we haven't gotten to "meet level", I'm enjoying watching my girl learn!! She would live in the swimming pool if I let her!! When she finally EMERGES from the the pool I cautiously look for a mermaid tail!! :)
