3 Peanuts: "Flirting up a storm"

I have learned that my boys do not send letters home from camp. The first year I bought stamped post cards and I addressed them to home and put them in the bags with a pen. I got nothing. The second year, I did it again...NOTHING! This year, I did not even bother to send any paper/postcards. I told them to have a blast and don't even think about home. The counselors always send a few postcards telling us how great the kids are and I see photos of them each day on the website.

Well, yesterday we got a very cryptic postcard from Will saying he is "flirting up a storm" at camp!!! Can you believe it???! I laughed so hard. They are at a Christian camp that is super wholesome. They sing praise songs and dance and have devotionals everyday. So that was the last thing I expected to see on his postcard. Looks like he is in full teen boy mode now! He also said he is doing a lot of archery. Hmm.... maybe the target of his flirting is a girl who likes archery too???

Yesterday, Kate came down in this get-up and told me she was a rapper?!!! I am not sure where she comes up with this stuff but she looked so delicious, I had to snap a photo or two.

Sorry for the lack of posting. We were in a hotel while part of our kitchen floors were finally being redone after the dishwasher leak and there was no time for blogging. Also, please keep my friend Diana in your prayers as she travels to China to bring home another beautiful daughter, Emme. I have an exciting post to share about Harry next:)

Flirting and rappers? My, it's been an interesting week for you, hasn't it? :) I do love seeing Kate in dresses, but I have to admit that seeing her as a rapper was one of my favorite looks!

ha! the postcard thing is so funny. sounds like my older brother when we were growing up. me on the other hand...i went to a university only 30 miles from home and sent my mom a card everyday!!! she saved them all these years and we look back and laugh so hard. because i was home more than i was on campus, but still mailed her cards. the differences in girls and boys...maybe when kate goes to camp she will write you! ha!

and i love the flirting thing!! so glad he shared that with you so you can remind him in the years to come!

This is hysterical!! I don't know what's funnier, Will's postcard or Kate as a rapper!! I think it's hysterical that the first postcard you get from him in 3 years tells you that he's flirting!!! LOL... Boys......

Camp is such a WONDERFUL experience! I think every child should go to camp! I went for 11 summers and then work at my camp. You should look into Camp Greystone for Kate. It is the BEST girls camp in the US (I may be biased, but I think the 96% return rate for Main Camp says quite a bit!)!! It is also a Christian camp and I know she would LOVE it as would you! GroveGals is sending her daughter next summer, Sippycups are for Chardonnay has her daughter there now and Henley on the Horn sends her girls!

We have had our share of flirting at camp this summer too. It is Cooper's first summer of dances with local girls camps. I was a bit nervous when he told me traded shirts with a girl. Thankfully, they bring extra camp shirts to trade!!!

Love Kate's rapper....any songs to go along with it?

Oh my word! That is hilarious! Boys will be boys! Carson actually loves sending us mail but he is still little! He will be flirting sooner than later too!

I never get anything from my boys at camp either. We picked Brendan up from his week on Saturday. He loves archery too.

Kate is just adorable.

PS - I ordered my juicer, and I am awaiting its arrival (Our BB&B is too small to carry in store). If you have any more recipes, please send them my way. I am excited to start this. We have eaten so bad all summer long since we have traveled most every weekend.
