 I am very reluctant to post this but I know that prayers are what we need right now. I am struggling between wanting to protect our privacy and desperately wanting as many prayers as we can get.  Our sweet little Harry has several characteristics of a very scary and extremely difficult and somewhat rare neurological disease.  It is one that cannot be ruled out easily and unfortunately he meets some of the criteria.  He is a having an MRI of his brain on Friday and I am an absolute wreck.  I keep reminding myself of the following Scriptures and I am praying them over and over.  But I really covet a bunch of prayers as well.  I strongly believe in the power of prayer and I would ask you to pray that the MRI is clean and that Harry does not develop any more signs of this illness.  Please pray for our peace of mind as well because I feel like I am losing my mind right now.

"Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.  Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts ad minds in Christ Jesus." Phil 4:6-7


Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6




P.S. Tomorrow is Will's 14th Birthday and somehow I have to clear my head and focus on celebrating him and all he is to us:)

    Dear God, we also ask that you bring a soothing "peace of mind" for Kim and Dave. Lord ease their anxiety. Keep their Faith steady. For in your word alone, we need only have the "faith of a mustard seed. In knowing that alone, we are claiming in Your Name and in Your Word... that Friday's test will bring reveal good news. Amen.

    I can only imagine how scary it must be. Waiting is the hardest...I felt that way a few weeks ago when we were waiting for my mother's biopsy to determine what stage of Breast Cancer she had. The prayers worked as it is only stage 0. Prayers for Harry and all of the Peanuts.

    Just had to leave you another note...I often pray to St. Jude during the Solemn Novena. Right after I read your post I clicked into my gmail account and the prayer for today started "DAY 4 — Tuesday, June 21
    On this fourth of nine days of Solemn Novena prayer, and the first day of summer, we join together in the belief that there is power in praying with and for one another’s petitions." Must be a good sign :)

    I rarely have commented but check in on your beautiful family.Prayers being said in Scotland tonight for a clear MRI for Harry. My younger son has a life limiting condition and the uncertainty waiting for diagnosis was worse than the reality of facing it daily.
    You have three beautiful talented children and I hope you can celebrate Wills birthday with some joy.
    Praying that on Friday you get some very positive news from a clear MRI. Harrys grin makes me smile every time I see it on your blog.

    Dear Kim,
    I strongly believe in the power of prayer too. I will pray that Harry's MRI is clean and I have faith that it will be.
    Here are some thoughts:
    "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." Gen 1.31.
    "God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." 1 John 4.16
    The second one seemed particularly relevant because Harry seems so loving!
