suggestions?

Tuesday, May 3, 2011
To say that I have a lot on my plate would be an understatement.  Not only do we have all the end of year festivities at three different schools to contend with but throw in planning a birthday party, a ballet recital, an art exhibition (both on the same night), awards ceremonies, kindergarten roundup, a bunch of field trips, some major doctor appointments and procedures for Harry and some other things and I can just feel my heart racing. Seriously, this is one of those times when I feel like I am so overwhelmed and over-scheduled.  So, my posting might be a bit light these next few weeks.

Kate wore one of her new dresses from Target yesterday and asked me to take her picture.  She is like her Mom..she really likes clothes and she knows exactly what she likes.  She loved this dress and shrug both from the new Calypso line at Target. We were running out the door so the photos are not that good but her outfit was so cute.

The straw bag is also from this line and Kate is using is as her bookbag for Preschool:)  The neckline of this dress is darling but you cannot really see it her.

Also, I really need a recommendation for a blog designer.  Last year I paid someone a fee plus a substantial "RUSH" fee to work on a project for me.  The turn around was supposed to be two weeks.  Six months later...I still had nothing. After going through paypal and a bazillion e-mails later, I did get a refund but it was a  HUGE hassle.  So, I need a recommendation for someone who can help me with a big project.  I need someone trustworthy and reliable and with a good eye for simple and clean design. Let me know if you know of anyone:)  Thanks.

  5. LOVE the Calypso line for Target too! Got the same navy off the shoulderndress you got (my favorite item that I will also be ordering in white online), the elephant belt and a navy skirt with lime embroidery too. Oh, and I went back and got the wedges today too....whoops! Kate looks darling in her outfit and very happy too!

Try The Love List for blog design! I adore her work!

  6. Would like to recommend Jen at the Art of Living. http://theartoflivingcustomdesigns.blogspot.com/ She uses her blog design work to help her family fund their SN adoptions.

  7. The Design Girl, except I think she might be Danielle Moss now. She's great! Maybe not as simple as you want but she's reliable and great! Penny Lane Designs does incredible designs that I love, but I don't know the company personally. Good luck!

  11. Kate looks absolutely darling! I LOVE that she is using the straw tote as a book bag - too precious!

I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions for blog designers. The only one I could recommend designs exclusively for Wordpress.

    Happy Summer (and BREATHE)!!!

  18. Kate looks darling in her new outfit!

Ashley at Hippo Scraps did mine and she was quick, professional and, in my opinion, did a great job! She now works with Lemon Cherry Blogs and Dream Up Studios: http://dreamupstudios.com/

  20. I have to head to Target and take a look! My daughter has gotten older and wears fewer dresses, so i'm hoping to reverse that and add more in.
I also have way too much going on. Doesn't suit my personality too well, and burn out/spring fever has flared. I think a trip to the beach is the only cure. Maybe a trip to NYC to see some shows and eat at fun restaurants! Well, no time for that, but dreaming is helpful as well!

  23. Hey sweetie! I am so sorry to hear how crazy your schedule has been lately. Don't worry, it happens to all of us. Just take everything DAY by DAY and before you know it, youll get through it all. BREATHE. SMILE.

Isn't that Calypso line simply darling?! I love it so much! I want them to carry it forever! Kate is going to be the kindergarten fashionista!

I worked with an amazing person on my blog, her name is Krystyn. You can find her information here:
    http://www.krizzydesigns.com/

I absolutely loved working with her. She is VERY reasonably priced, kind and hardworking. She went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied and has amazing communication! She even updates my martial arts belt as I go through the ranks, so I constantly contact her and she is always happy to help!
    Good luck with everything!!!
