Kate had been home exactly 3 months to the day. And although she was not a US citizen, we celebrated this American holiday for the first time with her. I have very fond memories of this day. It has been 3 years now and Kate may or may not be an American citizen this 4th of July ...stay tuned:)

  9. Ok, now you got me wondering. How is Kate not an American citizen? Wasn't she an American citizen when you were in China or when you first came home? Please give more details.

  14. I thought they became us citizens when the plane landed. That's what we were told with our 2. Is it different if only one parent travels to China?

  20. hmmm...I am with the others...Lucy became a citizen when we landed in Seattle and her certificate of citizenship arrived a couple of weeks later...so why not Kate??? You must explain...I cant believe how much everyone has grown since these pics!!
