Kate had been home exactly 3 months to the day. And although she was not a US citizen, we celebrated this American holiday for the first time with her. I have very fond memories of this day. It has been 3 years now and Kate may or may not be an American citizen this 4th of July ...stay tuned:)
Happy 4th of July!!!
She has got to be one of the cutest little girls I have ever seen. Seriously. And I can't WAIT to hear about her citizenship. What a big day!

I thought kids became US Citizens when their toes touch US soil? Is this not true?
ReplyDeleteOk, now you got me wondering. How is Kate not an American citizen? Wasn't she an American citizen when you were in China or when you first came home? Please give more details.
ReplyDeleteOh- cute pictures!!! Then again, I don't think Kate ever takes a bad photo.

I thought they became us citizens when the plane landed. That's what we were told with our 2. Is it different if only one parent travels to China?
