Diana just sent me an update which I posted to her blog. Sienna's fever is down a bit but they believe her thalassemia is complicating things and she will likely require more medical attention today. You can read Di's update here. Please continue to pray.
My dear friend, Diana and her family are humbly asking for prayers for Sienna Grace. At her physical yesterday, they gave her 7 vaccinations as a requirement for leaving the country. Sienna has spiked very high fevers and they have not been able to get it below 102.6. Her temperature has hovered at 104-105 most of the last 24 hours. Please pray for her immediate healing.
Praying for sweet Sienna.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers to Sienna and family.

We are praying for sweet Sienna!!
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, I am so heart sick over this. I hope she recovers from this. When I read they were to give her seven vaccines at once, i was worried. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh..and Kim. If you could pass along this bit of info to Diana...Try to stick with the motrin beacuse tylenol lowers the body's glutethione levels and the kids need high levels to fend off the antigens in the vaccines. Sorry if I am prying or sticking my nose in but I am genuinely concerned.
ReplyDeletePraying for this precious child of God.
ReplyDeletePraying for Sienna and that they have a quick trip home.
ReplyDeleteWe had people in our group whose children had to have all of the immunizations at once and their children all went through this. They all were much better after 48 hours.
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky because we were not under the new Hague rules. Sophia was not required to have them.
I will pray for this poor child.
The Tongginator and I both react to multiple vaccines this same way. I really think this new rule is a serious mistake. I'm so sorry for the family and sending prayers to all of them, especially Sienna.
ReplyDeleteSorry to comment again..but if they are able to bathe her and have access to Epsom salts (via Walmart), the epsom salt bath will help draw out any toxins her body needs to help speed up the process.
ReplyDeletePraying for sweet Sienna and her family!

Oh no!! Prayers for Sienna!! I worried about all those shots for her too... crazy that they would do all of them at once to such a tiny little body!
ReplyDeleteI read this on Diana's blog and I think my heart skipped a beat. I am lifting SWEET Siena up in prayer!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I promise she is in my thoughts and prayers! Keep us updated!
ReplyDeletePraying fervently for little Siena. Bless her heart! (And Di's too. What a stressful thing an extended high fever is.)
ReplyDeleteKim, she may also have an infection of some sort, is there a clinic they could take her to? Can you tell them to make sure she is drinking alot of fluids too? Can they get some pedialyte or something into her?
ReplyDeleteMany prayers for Sienna and her family!!
Nancy
Two of my children have thalecemia -- we have been very lucky thus far. One has a propensity toward high fevers. It's so frustrating and scary when the Motrin gets the fever "down" to 103... One WONDERFUL tip we were given... cool, damp socks on the feet in addition to the cool, wet washcloth on the head. It's not as shocking as a cool/cold bath and equally as effective! Be sure to place a big towel under their feet so as not to get the furniture wet!
ReplyDeleteSienna Grace and her family are in my prayers... I'll be checking in for updates.
Hugs!!!
