Mother~Daughter Christmas Party

Sunday, December 6, 2009

A Mom and daughter from Kate's school hosted a Mother and Daughter Christmas Party today. I must admit that for years I have dreamed of doing Mother/Daughter things like this with Kate. One year, when Will was little, my Mom and I took Will to a Christmas Teddy Bear Tea at a lovely hotel. We all had a great time but Will was one of only two boys there. He was a great sport.

  3. Kate doesn't look like she wants to leave in the last picture!

As a mom to two boys, I must admit that (even though I do enjoy being the QUEEN of the house!) I do envy my sister a bit sometimes with her two girls. Her girls wear big ol' grosgrain bows bigger than their heads and smocked dresses. They also get to do those fun Mother/Daughter events. Enjoy!

  12. I remember you posted years ago that one of your wishes for Kate (before you even knew her) was that you would do Mother/Daughter teas and parties. It brings me such joy to see that happen. Looks like a wonderful time! Love Kate's dress :)

  15. I'm glad you are enjoying the Mother/Daughter time! Having two boys I giggled at your story about taking Will to the Teddy Bear Tea. I can so relate having two boys. A few years ago I dressed them up and took them to a Children's production of the Nutcracker. They were good sports as well...The next year it was a Polar Express train ride. That one was a hit.

  22. Aw, Mother-Daughter Christmas events are the best! Miss Priss and I had a m-d cookie swap once when she was little but since Pinkie's bday is in Dec. we haven't done another with her friends. Seeing all those sweet little girls, dressed to the nines, makes me want to do something!

  23. My daughter and I did all the Mother/Daughter things. Now she is 22 and we are planning her wedding. It seems like yesterday that she was Kate's age. Enjoy every moment.....

By the way - I love Kate's hair. It is growning out beautiful since the "incident".

  24. How fun! Love the photos :) ... and I have to admit I am a bit jealous! I have always wished to be able to go to a mother/daughter party and always felt left out over the years when my friends hosted them. Maybe some day with a granddaughter (hopefully!).
