A Mom and daughter from Kate's school hosted a Mother and Daughter Christmas Party today. I must admit that for years I have dreamed of doing Mother/Daughter things like this with Kate. One year, when Will was little, my Mom and I took Will to a Christmas Teddy Bear Tea at a lovely hotel. We all had a great time but Will was one of only two boys there. He was a great sport.
Kate and Mom before the party.
There was singing....
and dancing.....
A thank you and hug goodbye to the hostess:)
We had a great time!
HOW CUTE...
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT..
Looks like a great day..
Have a great week..
Hugs...
i am sure there will be many more mother/daughter events! SO excited for you both! :)
ReplyDeleteKate doesn't look like she wants to leave in the last picture!
ReplyDeleteAs a mom to two boys, I must admit that (even though I do enjoy being the QUEEN of the house!) I do envy my sister a bit sometimes with her two girls. Her girls wear big ol' grosgrain bows bigger than their heads and smocked dresses. They also get to do those fun Mother/Daughter events. Enjoy!
How fun! I love how Kate is really into the singing in the second picture, with her hands up and mouth open. She is so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a good time was had by all! Such sweet dresses worn!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Snick :)
Mother/Daughter Days are the best! Glad you were able to go have some one-on-one time with Kate. She looks adorable, as always.
ReplyDeleteThe two girls in their perfect smocked dresses and red bows are just too much!! I can't wait to have a daughter!!! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteDarling.....so happy you two could have a special day together!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party! You both look so beautiful by the tree!
ReplyDeleteI miss you both! I wish we could do these things together with Kate & Ruby!
Love,
Di
So glad you are Kate are able to enjoy things like this. Maggie and I are off to a cookie exchange this morning! Have a great week~
ReplyDeleteLooks like such fun! What cute Santa cookies!
ReplyDeleteI had to giggle that you took Will to a Teddy Bear Tea Party... go Will! That's the way to meet the ladies ;)
I remember you posted years ago that one of your wishes for Kate (before you even knew her) was that you would do Mother/Daughter teas and parties. It brings me such joy to see that happen. Looks like a wonderful time! Love Kate's dress :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a fun party. What a great idea for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all the girls' pretty dresses ;)What a great tradition!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are enjoying the Mother/Daughter time! Having two boys I giggled at your story about taking Will to the Teddy Bear Tea. I can so relate having two boys. A few years ago I dressed them up and took them to a Children's production of the Nutcracker. They were good sports as well...The next year it was a Polar Express train ride. That one was a hit.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time for all!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet party!! It is fun doing girl things after having two boys, isn't it! Hope you have a great week!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to celebrate the season!

ReplyDeleteAw, Mother-Daughter Christmas events are the best! Miss Priss and I had a m-d cookie swap once when she was little but since Pinkie's bday is in Dec. we haven't done another with her friends. Seeing all those sweet little girls, dressed to the nines, makes me want to do something!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I did all the Mother/Daughter things. Now she is 22 and we are planning her wedding. It seems like yesterday that she was Kate's age. Enjoy every moment.....
ReplyDeleteBy the way - I love Kate's hair. It is growning out beautiful since the "incident".
How fun! Love the photos :) ... and I have to admit I am a bit jealous! I have always wished to be able to go to a mother/daughter party and always felt left out over the years when my friends hosted them. Maybe some day with a granddaughter (hopefully!).
ReplyDeleteHow fun...love mother/daughter outings. All the little girls are sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteVery Good CHristmas Pictures!

ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful time. Sophia and I haven't had any mother/daughter events. Maybe we should plan a little event at the pottery painting studio. You have me thinking :)
