I had always hoped that Kate would be interested in dance and all things girly. However, I prepared myself for the possibility that she might be more interested in soccer and sports given the fact that she has two older brothers. Lucky me....she loves pink and tutus and cupcakes and shoes. She cannot wait to start dance classes. And quite frankly, I was beaming from ear to ear when we bought her little shoes today. I don't care if she is a dancer, I just want her to have fun. And she twirls around the house all day long.
Ooooh how exciting!!! Got to love little tap shoes and ballet slippers are the best!! Hannah begins gymnastics next month,so we shall see...she has always wanted to dance with Emily.
ReplyDeleteLet us know how it goes:)
Have a great week.
Love,
Heather
I have a feeling that Kate is going to be the cutest little dancer. Kate is almost exactly one year older than my daughter, Eleanor (6-11-07). It is very exciting to think that in just one year, we could be looking for dance shoes of our very own.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I really hope you post pictures of her in her dance outfits! I bet she will look adorable!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those cute little shoes..
ReplyDeleteI soo hope Isabella loves to dance also..
Have a great time..
Can't wait to see the cute little photos..
Oooh, welcome to the world of dance moms : ) It's a fun place to be. Paige is a tomboy, but oddly enough, adores dance and is such a good dancer. Being in the Nutcracker this year was the highlight of her little existence.
ReplyDeleteI hope Kate finds as much joy in dance as Paige has.
Merde!
Isn't it exciting to buy that first pair of ballet shoes : ) Livi took tap at 3 years old but it didn't last LOL Addison is such a girlie girl she couldn't wait to take ballet. I bought her so many adorable outfits and was so excited for us ....I mean her. Once she realized that Mommy couldn't stay in the class....she was a ballet drop out. I am hoping next year she will try again. She so loves to dance.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see pictures of Kate in her ballet class : ) so cute!!!!
oh what fun you and Kate will have! My daughter took tap and ballet for a few years until she got tired of it, then I didnt force her to do it. It was all for fun!
ReplyDeleteThat will be so fun! I can't wait for Landree to start dance!
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are so cute...so tiny and so perfect!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see pictures of Miss Kate doing her very first plie.
Good luck....or should I say, break a leg:)
Lisa
yeay! my mom started me in dance when I was 3 - and I still go 2x a week. It always makes me smile when young girls begin taking classes :)
ReplyDeleteOh my friend...you are in for some off the scales cuteness. I just about cry every week when I take Lia to her tap/ballet class and see all the pretty little girls in their dancing finery...So. Great. Really...it does not get any better. I cannot wait to see Kate all decked out!!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I bet she will be super cute!
ReplyDeleteOH those are the cutest lil' shoes ever! I can't wait for Carli to take classes, but she's so bashful, so who knows how that'll go? She does like all things girly (obsessed with pink) and it suprises me since she too has two older brothers!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I can't wait to hear all about Kate's first dance class! I, too, hope Kamree wants to take dance. So far, it doesn't appear that she has an athletic bone in her body so I think she will prefer dance over soccer! Those pink slippers are sooooo cute too!
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest little shoes I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to have Kate start dancing.
I can't wait to hear what happens next!
xo

Oh so sweet!! I love the little shoes you bought her!! I danced most of my life and it is such a wonderful thing!

Enjoy watching your sweet girl twirl around! She will be oh. so. cute.
Have fun! I hope Kate loves her dance class. I know you'll enjoy watching her! You must post pictures.
ReplyDeleteRachel
those little shoes are so precious!!! can't wait to see kate's progress over the next couple of weeks!
ReplyDeleteI remember when my sister in law had two boys, I had two girls, and she was mourning the thought of never getting to have a little girl in ballet...she ended up having a little girl a few years later, and her little girl refuses to take any kind of dance class, only wants to do sports like her brothers!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I love the dance recitals.
Oh, yes! When my little B girl started this past fall I was THRILLED. I'm also thrilled that she absolutley loves it with all of her heart. Pink ballet shoes and shiny black taps...it almost doesn't get any cuter.
ReplyDeleteoh, so much fun! looking forward to the photos!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun!! I can't for those pictures. She's going to be ridiculously cute in her little dance outfits. Have fun Mama!
ReplyDeleteGin =)
Adorable! These photos bring back memories of when my mom used to take me to dance classes ;)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see some photos of Kate dressed for her dance class. I took ballet when I was growing up and loved it! Her dance shoes are so cute- I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteEmily
Have fun - I mean, I hope Kate has fun :) After two boys, dance and tutu's and ballet shoes are delightful :)
ReplyDeleteI love my girls when they are dancing...so precious! I am sure I don't have to ask you, but please post some pics of Kate on her first day of class!
ReplyDeletethese pictures of the shoes are just precious.

There is nothing cuter than little girls in pink tutu's. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSo precious! I can't wait to see pictures of her in her leotards and even better, in recital costumes. Fun times.
ReplyDeleteOh look how precious those little shoes are.....she will LOVE it! AND even if she doesn't she can still do it at home like you said.
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to see what they have in Mexico for our girls when we get there...we did sports with the big kids and I really wanted the little ones to do dance or violin or piano or something quiet and not outisde in the cold! lol
Oh how FUN!! I so want to get Hannah into dance. You've inspired me to go look today! Those are just the cutest little shoes. Can't wait to see those adorable pics. of Kate
ReplyDeleteHave a great time!
I have 2 boys and a little girl. Nothing beats seeing your princess in a tutu and dance shoes. Allison is in her fourth year at dance and it still brings a big smile to my face when she gets her outfits on. Wait till the recital. bring the tissues!!!
ReplyDeleteI can understand your excitement. I love ballet and dance and wish I had done more of it myself. We are lucky enought to have subscription seats to the Boston Ballet and it is our favorite night out. Emma hasn't started dance classes yet, but Hannah has been taking ballet for a few years and will perform (as one of the many beginning students) in her ballet schools version of Cinderella in the spring. She is thrilled. She was just measured for her costume and can hardly wait. When I see her on stage, it will be one of those moments when I know I'll need some tissues. She's danced since she could walk and I know she will be beaming on the stage...she's a ham!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of Kate's new dance shoes. Your photography is quite stunning!
Kim:
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say that when I was viewing an email recently I saw this little girl who looks a lot like your Kate.
I am not very good at computer stuff but it came from red thread stiches about an auction for Jailynn. It was a previous auction from Daalea. It is the second picture of the little girl by a tree where you can see her face. Is it your Kate?
Terry
I can totally relate to this post as Ava is a girly girl who loves anything pink, frilly and princess-related.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see more pics of your cute little dancer.
Ooooh, she is going to be so cute!! I can't wait to see pics from class. My girls are quite girly too, but have already moved on to sports so I don't see ballet shoes in my future. :(
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I can't wait to see her in her pretty little tights.....so glad you are in Momma heaven! ;)
ReplyDeleteKate -
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a "wonder"filled time at your very first dance classes!
Ashley
How exciting for you! It brings back memories of when Faith started tap/ballet last year. She is not too girly, but she loves her dancing. I hope Kate has lots of fun! And yes, aren't those shoes the sweetest!
ReplyDeleteA girly girl for a girly girl!!! I can't wait to see that precious vision in pink tights, and a black leotard soon! She will love it! Some are born to wear cleats, but I think Kate was born to wear pretty shoes!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Diana
I received my mommystars tee for my friend last week...I love it, and can't wait to give it to her! She is an exhausted mom of newborn twins and needs a pick-me-up, and this is perfect.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see pictures of Kate dancing...she will be so cute!
Laura
How fun! I bet Kate will love it! I can't wait until we get to dance class time.
ReplyDeleteWeird question...you have posted about the GF products you buy. We learned our son is allergic to wheat. What kind of bread do you buy? I left the store empty handed today because all the GF options were frozen blocks in the freezer section & I couldn't make up my mind!
Blessings, Rebecca
You will love it as well! Both my daughters are enrolled in the same ballet/tap class. They love it and are too cute, even the little one is doign very well. They will go back next week as soon as we get home from Belgium.
ReplyDeleteI know how you have longed for this day!! Can't wait to see the beautiful pictures you will take~
ReplyDeleteMaggie is not ready for anything like this yet, but I can't wait either!
Oh, and where does one buy all of that ballet, gymnastic clothing?
ReplyDeleteNow I have the ABBA song "Dancing Queen" in my head!! She is going to love, love, love dance...
ReplyDeleteI'm in the position now of debating between gymnastics (Em's love) or Ballet (my love)... maybe both??
Have fun!!
I just cannot wait for ballet and tap shoes! I too hope little Emma will love all things girly! I can't wait to see photos of Kate in her tutu!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteHOW ADORABLE! So glad your little girl did turn out "girly". BTW, I did not eat the whole insects or haggis....the other way around - I tried the pistachio ice cream. I can't do bugs! ;>)
How exciting! I'm sure Kate will love it . . . both of my girlies do. Something about the tutus and shoes just turns little girls into instant ballerinas!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see pictures of her all dressed up!
How fun..... I know you girls will be dancing to the moon and back...
ReplyDeleteTwirl sweet Kate Emerson... Twirl...
Oh how fun, I can't wait to do that! Her shoes are adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteSigh...I LOVE those sweet pink slippers! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a pair myself hanging around here somewhere!
Kate is going to just LOVE ballet!
Jill xx
