I guess I don't need TV for drama around here! Yesterday Kate and I were on our way to this amazing downtown park to meet our good friends (visiting from Virginia) and BAM---we were rear-ended by 2 cars on the freeway! When I handed the police officer my insurance card, I noticed that was expired by ONE day and it was the card for Dave's car! Luckily, we had renewed and I just did not have the new card yet. The accident was ruled by the police officer as being the fault of the driver of the third car. We were at a total stop. We are okay but it was so scary. Kate was checked out by a doctor yesterday and she is fine. I have an appointment in about an hour. I am so sore. Every inch of my body hurts but I think it is just soreness and nothing more.
I have never thought of times in my life as "tests. " I am usually prayerful and positive but I cannot deny that we have had just an awful streak of misfortunes lately. I am more appreciative for the kindness of y'all than word could possibly express. Each message lifts my wilting spirit these days. Well, Kate is about finished her "cupcake" (muffin) and I need to get to the doctors office. Here is one photo from our very late playdate yesterday I have some good ones....I'll post when I have more time on free internet.
P.S. Lori---I want to call you but cannot find your number....THANK YOU for the packages. They could not have come on a better day and the boys were THRILLED!
Bless your heart! When it rains it pours. I am so sorry. Surely, it will be over soon...right?
ReplyDeleteDid you hear back about the house?

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. I'm glad you're all OK. My car was in the same body shop TWICE last month for 2 different accidents, neither my fault. Hope your feeling not so sore soon. Oh, I hope you weren't offended by my comment about being "tested".

It will get better. These bumps in the road are meant to make you stronger, as you have proven you are!

And I must agree with you when you mentioned the number of "tests" you've been lately. :)However, you've weathered them all beautifully and managed to keep your cool along the way, so I pray that life gets a little easier for you and your family very soon!
