Oh the Drama!

DSC_0030

I guess I don't need TV for drama around here!  Yesterday Kate and I were on our way to this amazing downtown park to meet our good friends (visiting from Virginia) and BAM---we were rear-ended by 2 cars on the freeway! When I handed the police officer my insurance card, I noticed that was expired by ONE day and it was the card for Dave's car!  Luckily, we had renewed and I just did not have the new card yet.  The accident was ruled by the police officer as being the fault of the driver of the third car.  We were at a total stop.  We are okay but it was so scary.  Kate was checked out by a doctor yesterday and she is fine.  I have an appointment in about an hour. I am so sore. Every inch of my body hurts but I think it is just soreness and nothing more.

I have never thought of times in my life as "tests. "  I am usually prayerful and positive but I cannot deny that we have had just an awful streak of misfortunes lately.  I am more appreciative for the kindness of y'all than word could possibly express.  Each message lifts my wilting spirit these days.  Well, Kate is about finished her "cupcake" (muffin) and I need to get to the doctors office.  Here is one photo from our very late playdate yesterday  I have some good ones....I'll post when I have more time on free internet.

P.S.  Lori---I want to call you but cannot find your number....THANK YOU for the packages.  They could not have come on a better day and the boys were THRILLED!

  20. Oh man Kim.....yes, that testing will eventually develope that character in us that He is always after. Look at it this way, He must surely see you as strong enough to handle it all or it wouldn't be coming your way. Glad you are all safe.

So sorry to hear of yet another bump in the road! You may not think so, but your attitude has been so positive, even when it was obvious you were upset. Here's hoping and praying that was the last bump and it's smooth sailing from now on.
