Memorial Day Weekend

Tuesday, May 27, 2008
We had a GREAT time with our friends this weekend.  Our weekend included swimming and ice cream trucks and playing at the park (and meeting them--which we LOVED) and roasting marshmallows and making s'mores.  We sat by the fire listening to music and DANCING!  We even had a sitter one night and got away from all of the kids! Everyone played beautifully together and it was simply PERFECT!

Enjoy the little things.  For one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I saw this quote this weekend and it REALLY spoke to me.  This weekend was full of wonderful little things!

Thank you for all of the supportive comments y'all left.  Yes, I did get a rude comment and I refuse to acknowledge them anymore.  I am done apologizing here.  This is who I am.  If you like it, feel free to stay.  If not, click away.

Also, several people have e-mailed to say they cannot see the blog since it has been changed.  Debbie and I are working on this but since we can both see it, we don't really know if/when it is fixed.  If you can see it now and could not before...let me know.  I hope we get it straightened out soon.

  5. You owe no one an apology!! Your blog is just that - YOURS!! Of all the blogs I frequent (and as a waiting mom there are many!) you are the one of the most kind and loving people... how anyone could have a problem with anything you post is beyond me.

Glad you had a happy weekend!! :)

  34. Hi Kim, I'm still having trouble viewing your blog!!! OH NO!!!

Some times I can see it, and sometimes I can't!! Ack!

Love the photos!! I have to get an SLR camera-I want the Nikon D-40!!!! The pictures are just awesome!! A momfriend took the latest pix on my blog of my oldest and her son racing in the 3-legged race, and the pictures are stunningly beautiful, because she has the Nikon D-40. Sadly, it's not in the budget until September!!

  36. Yeah - I can see your blog! It would flash up and then I couldn't see below the title line. I was fooling with it last night and it would flicker away so quickly I couldn't read, email you or comment. So glad I can catch up with you. Glad you had a wonderful weekend! It is the best when the simple things are the most fun.

I hope Kate is feeling better and her party goes well. I will love hearing all about it.
