Last Sunday, Dave drove to North Carolina to get our schnoodle (poodle-schnauzer mix) puppy dog. We totally surprised the boys with her! She is seven weeks old and we have named her "Scout" after one of our favorite literary figures. Scout is the smart little girl in To Kill a Mockingbird and our Scout is smart too. She is learning to fetch, already knows what to do outside, and catches on very quickly.
Scout is also the name of a little friend that Will had in pre-school in Houston. He helped her learn how to read and she had a huge crush on him. Will always wanted to name our little sister Scout but I thought it fit our puppy perfectly.
