Christmastime in New York City

Sunday, January 7, 2007

On December 27th we took the kids to NYC for the first time. We rode the train up from NJ and the boys loved the adventure. Then, we took a taxi to Rockerfeller Center. After exploring and looking at the Christmas decorations, we went across the street to St.Patrick's Cathedral. We lit a candle for my step-father, Al who recently passed away. We also lit a candle for our little sister and we prayed for them both.

After the cathedral, we ate lunch in an authentic NY deli. It was delicious. Then, we were off to the biggest Toys R Us in the world. There was a ferris wheel inside. The boys had a blast but it was so crowded you could hardly move. My pictures need to be rotated or I would post them here.

After the toy store, we went to see the Lion King. Words cannot describe how wonderful it was.

The boys had an awesome time on the train. We got the last four seats.

We took the boys to see their first Broadway show. We all loved the Lion King. I loved watching the boys faces just as much as I enjoyed the show. It was priceless.

Wow, Harry look at all those TV'S! Yeah, but Mom would never let us watch them all.
