A grateful heart

Saturday, October 6, 2012

I want to thank you for the outpouring of prayer and thoughts. I really cannot thank you all enough.  The offers of prayer here, in real life, and in e-mails have been kind of a life raft for me the last two days. We can actually feel them working in our lives and I am so grateful for that.  I want to answer each of the e-mails but I honestly cannot do that at this time as I am completely in over my head right now.  I will share what is going on with Kate here on the blog (which is completely manageable) but I cannot share what is going on with my other peanut right now. It is simply too personal and too difficult for him right now. I hope someday I can share it so that maybe it will help someone else but not now.  His privacy comes first.

I am planning on doing a big catch up post on Kate tonight or tomorrow morning but wanted to pop in and thank you all for your generous prayer and well wishes.  I feel so blessed to have this additional community of friends through blogging.  It is so unique and special and I cherish it.

  4. Kim, I will be keeping your entire family in my prayers. I know full well that when one family member is suffering it affects the entire family and everyone needs strength and hope. I so pray and hope that things will look up soon.

  5. I was thinking about you a lot last night. I am just so sorry that you are all having to deal with such big things right now. And even more so that your peanuts are having to deal with them too. Praying that if this is health related for your middle peanut, that healing is in his future!!

  6. Kim, I will continue to pray for your family. Sometimes we have to be in the storm before we can see the true depth of God's grace and amazing love. Hang in there.

  11. I am so happy/relieved to know that you are reading these comments ... full of love and prayers for you, KIm. We are all here for you, full of comfort and hope. I always feel that if we can help just one~other person through our challenges then that is enough. God doesn't give us more than we can handle...isn't that hard to believe sometimes!?!! Do share when you are strong enough and able enough to make a difference.
Love to all of you from here in Vermont all the way down to you in Texas...it's a small world after all,
    Mary Ann

  13. Hello Kim, It's Nancy..I met you today at the infamous American Girl store! After we left we headed to Target and BACK to the American Girl store on our way out. So, that made 4 times at AG store since it opened! It's all great tho~ she will only be a little girl for another couple of years so I am soaking it all in while I can! AND As long as I don't have to spend $100+ dollars every visit I'm good :)
It was lovely to meet you and don't forget to send me your address! xo nancy elizabeth
