And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
Hebrews 10:24

We gave our beloved dog, Snickers to our friends last night and we are all a bit sad.  I will post about it later but wanted to thank you all for the kindness you have shown me the last few days.  If you can pray for Kate especially to process and accept this transition, I would appreciate it.

  7. Oh how I can readily identify w/a little girl and her dog! My heart and prayers goes out to Kate and all of you. The bright side of things is the fact "Kate can always visit Snickers". That will give her something fun to look forward too!

I'm also getting ready to transition my 4yr old on the "big move" of Paris (my college-aged daughters beloved schnauzer)! The time has come that she is spreading her wings and leaving the nest *the child...not the dog*. She will be taking the dog w/her as she moves to her own place within a month. Our 4yr old LOVES that dog and sometimes I believe she think it is her BFF! Our 4yr old was placed w/us about a week before we got the dog! So these two have practically grown up together! You see one...you see the other! They are inseparable! *as you can tell in my profile pic*

My daughter has promised to bring the dog by daily and let her see her! Although a tough decision, we decided it was best the dog would leave w/Taylor. Although loving and sweet w/us...she is a BEAST when it comes to strangers and fiercely loyal?protective to not only the 4yr old but Taylor as well! My daughter feels more comfortable living on her own for the first time esp with her very own security dog~ I still say we should've named the dog B.R.I.N.K.S--- (B)ites, (R)ip you to shreds, (I)nclined to attack (K)icks butt and (S)narl like crazy

  8. Thinking of you all...especially Kate. I hope her heart can find peace in this transition. As hard as this is, at least, through your friends, you can keep a connection with Snickers.

  12. Such a hard thing for a child to understand - will be praying for Kate - I know her heart must be aching for Snickers. We had to do this one time when Taylor was about Kate's age. Our friends who took our dog Max sent Taylor puppy love letters for a few weeks with pictures of Max having all kinds of fun with them, sleeping on their pillows, riding in the car etc. It helped her to know he was having fun and being taken care of.

    Hang in there...

  16. Praying for you all, and especially Kate. Thankful for your friends who came up with such a great solution.
It's been a rough couple of months for you-the accident and your injuries, the onset of H's migraines, now Snickers. Treat yourself kindly, you need it. I'm sure your awesome dh will too. :)
"For I know the plans I have for you...plans to prosper you and not to harm you...Jeremiah 29:11.
If nothing else, this could be a time of drawing you even closer to Him.
    Blessings,
    Susan
