Letter to a friend... {5/365}

A couple of friends have e-mailed or called to check on me.  I am okay... I just have a lot going on here and a two day headache (feels like the beginnings of a sinus infection).  I am praying for all of you who are doing the Bible Study!  I have a couple of posts in my head and I will try to get them up here as soon as I feel better and caught up.  Happy weekend!

Oh and I just realized today is the 4 year anniversary (and 802 posts) of my blog!!! Thank you for all of the kindness over the years.  I would have never imagined when I began this four years ago that I would have made the friendships and connections that I have made.  Some of my closest friendship have grown out of this endeavor.  I still remember sitting in a chair in VA and Dave helping me come up with the name 3 peanuts:)

P.S.  the above photo is mine but I took it to celebrate my friend Shana...read below...

Imagine my utter JOY when I walked into Papyrus a few days before Christmas and saw one of my best friend's photography in a beautiful set of boxed notecards.  I immediately called her!!  I was SO excited and happy for her.  I am really proud of my friend, Shana.  She is talented, beautiful and has a heart of gold.  I used her Florabella action "afternoon" on this  photo.

You can find her work here.  And the cards here and here.

  1. Wow! Congrats on 4 years! I remember when I first found you somewhere - yay!

    When looking at Christmas cards coming in, my son kept said -- who are these people? Blog friends I answered and he responded -- "Cute family!"

    Hope you feel better!

  9. Happy Four Year Anniversary!
    I read more than I comment, but your perspective and reminders of appreciation of the day to day are just the thing.
    Hope your headache is relieved by sleeping in and doesn't become something more.
    Thanks for sharing all that you do!

  13. I found you through Shana's blog, when she was blogging about adoption, herself! That is impressive about her stationary, although I am not surprised. I have to say - she takes the best self-portraits EVER!

  14. Congratulations on 4 years! I love your blog, and it is one of about 5 I check every single day. Your family seems lovely, and your house devine! I love hearing about your kids, your relationship with Dave, and your decorating ideas. However, I also love your photos. You really do have a natural eye! Just a suggestion- how about you start a "helpful hints" section on your blog for photography, for novices like me? The angle of your photos, how natural everyone looks, the moments you catch, you have a lot of knowledge that I would love to hear! Thanks for considering. :) And, another side. (Not sure if you really want to hear these "wants" hee hee). I love reading some of the versuses from the bible you post now and then, as well as your newest endeavor on bible tips. How about a little helpful hint for folks who really know hardly anything at all about the bible, but don't really know where to start? Personally, I can't imagine setting a goal right now to read the whole bible. That is just way too ambitious for me right now. But I would love to take this in baby steps- like certain versuses that would be good to begin with. Yes, I have always believed in God, and I went to Sunday School as a kid, but that is just about where it ends. I'm curious to learn more- but really have no idea where to start. Thanks!
