So I have mostly been shuttling kiddos to activities but wanted to post a few photos....
This is from Will's last swim meet. His favorite event is backstroke and in the first photo (left) he is winning in the backstroke part of a relay.
Last week, Dave went to Kate's class to teach the kiddos about dinosaurs and fossils. Dave is a geologist and he has done this for each of the peanuts when they were in pre-school. He is SO good at it and the kids love him. I cannot even tell you how proud Kate was of her Daddy. As you can see from the photos, she was touching him almost the whole time. It was so cute.
Kate helped to carefully pass around fossils for her classmates to hold.
Dave has an awesome collection of fossils that he brought in for the children to touch and see.
Kate could just not keep her little hands off her Daddy. She was so proud of him.
Dave kept their attention for almost an hour!!! He is amazing with little ones.
So to get their wiggles out they played "freeze-dance" as we were leaving:)

A Geologist! Wow that's awesome!! Love the way Kate touches her dad, she clearly is a daddy's girl! What a lucky group of kids to be classmate w/a 3peanut kiddo!
ReplyDeleteYou have always said what a great dad he is... the pictures tell the story as well! How wonderful for Kate to have her daddy share with her class :)
ReplyDeleteHope things settle into a manageable routine soon!!
The woman to Dave's left was priceless (the teacher?) She looked captivated. Go Dave!!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Dave is something else to keep their attentions for an hour!!! May I borrow him for my classroom? lol
ReplyDeletePrecious pics of Kate touching/hugging her daddy. Melts my heart!
oh wow Kim...I remember those busy days when all three of my boys played little league, then basketball...it is very hard and exhausting to maintain family time...trust me, it does change so much at the high school level, especially when they can drive themselves to practice :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pics of Dave with Kate...these are the moments! A geologist..wow, interesting work!!
xoxo
Oh Kim! I love that photo of Kate hugging her daddy!
ReplyDeleteAnd if you have time, I'd love to know what camera setting (ISO, I guess?) you used for the great color and lighting in her classroom. That can sometimes be tricky for me but so many fun things I want to document happen in there!
Hi Kim, I was over here earlier but had to leave to put kiddies to bed, then saw your comment!
ReplyDeleteKate is so sweet to be so proud of her awesome daddy, what a fun time for him too, I'm sure! Does he do speaking engagements...I know a homeschool with two little boys that would love to hear about fossils and dinosaurs and all things geology!! :)
Love the swim meet pics, Go Will!
I hope that crazy schedule eases up very soon, hang in there!
xoxo
This is adorable. I love how she has her hands on him all the time! So sweet!!
ReplyDeleteToo bad Ruby could not be there for "Dr. Dave!" She would have loved learning about rocks, fossils, and all those exciting things Dave brings to life!!!! So cute that Kate was so proud of her Daddy!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHoping Will won the race!!

Love the pics of Kate next to her daddy, with her little hand resting on him - so sweet!
ReplyDeleteMy son's preK class is doing dinosaurs this month, and that is all he can talk about... and that's without having a fun talk by a dad about fossils!
I wish we lived closer! I have to teach the Geology requirement to my cub scouts in 2 weeks. Dave, don't you want to come to the snowy and cold NE? Pretty please! K- you could come to- Boden Warehouse sale here on 1/29!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a precious post!!!! I love how Kate has her hand just resting on her dad or how she is reaching out for him! Love it!

ReplyDeletei can't imagine three kiddos with three activities, it must be a lot!! we are going to sign up for tball next week, and it will really be our taste of the first 'sport'!!
What a great dad! And kids love it when a parent or grandparent come visit. My mother comes every year to talk to my class about the pilgrims, and S and J love to show her off around school!
ReplyDeleteHow sweeeeet! What a special moment to share together! Dave looks like a natural! You can just tell how proud and happy Kate is to have her amazing Daddy there!:)
ReplyDeleteThose peanuts have a great Dad!!! What a great guy :) Hope things ease up a bit for you.
ReplyDeleteSeeing Kate and Dave together makes my heart melt. They truly have a daddy-daughter relationship that most females would likely be jealous of! She just adores her Daddy!
ReplyDeleteYou can tell how much she adores her Daddy! Your photos are all so fabulous! And I love Kate's shirt, by the way =) haha!
ReplyDeleteLottie LOVES dinosaurs...LOVES them! Ohhh...she would love to talk to a real geologist...of course...and drive him crazy with 5 gazillion questions!!!
ReplyDeleteLove all the pictures and her sweet smile:)
God bless Dave, may God keep him as a good father ,teaching and leading his children, as well as the ones who come his way, in the paths of commitment,of trust and love.Beatiful images,I JUST LOVED !!
ReplyDeleteI loved the pictures of Dave at school and Kate hardly being able to keep her hands off him. So cute :)
ReplyDeleteOh my word! These are the cutest pictures ever! Dave is such an amazing dad to the peanuts. You know how blessed you are!
ReplyDeletethese just make me melt. so beautiful and sweet.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! I am very close with my dad. He came to speak to my HS, Advanced Placement Government class and I didn't understand what he did. Thankfully now I do but a lawyer isn't nearly as interesting as a geologist! My little sister especially loved fossils when she was Kate's age. Now she is interning at National Geographic magazine and LOVES it.
