I have so much to post....the kids visit with Santa, our weekend, trimming the tree, a funny/sweet story about Kate. Heck, I still have not really posted about our Disney trip! But this week is CRAZY busy. We have Harry's birthday family celebration (we celebrate the day before because he goes to Judo on his birthday), his actual birthday, his school Christmas concert, a book club party, a teddy bear Christmas tea with Kate, our Christmas party (120 people coming!) and Harry's party the next day (A SLEEPOVER NO LESS!) I need to bring birthday goodies to Harry's class (gluten free for him). It is also my week to bring snacks to youth group and Will begins swim team practice everyday from 5:45-6:30. And I have to drive him everyday---when will I cook dinner, let along eat? That is the worst possible time for a practice in my book. Plus, my Christmas cards are sitting here begging to be stuffed, addressed, stamped and sent (200 of them).
I am reminding myself that it will all get done and it will all be fine and I am "too blessed to be stressed." But really, I am a little stressed.
I will probably end up blogging this week anyway because it is an escape for me and I am so behind.
So glad you enjoyed your time away!
ReplyDeleteI cut my Christmas card list in half this year (from 200 to 100) and it was much more manageable!
This crazy holiday season will be over before you know it! Hang in there!
I am right there with you Miss Kim!!! This week is CRAZY busy for us, too, and somewhere in between everything is our youngest's first birthday!!! (He shares his big day with Harry.)
ReplyDeleteTake care and don't get too overwhelmed.
Sounds like you had a nice time away. Christmas is just a wonderful time of year, I just wish it weren't SO busy! I want things to slow down a bit more so I can just reflect and take it all in. Have a blessed week and take in all in stride! <><
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Tanya
Happy Anniversary!!! Hope you have a wonderful holiday!!! I love this crazy time of year : )
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Kate did so great! I can't wait to hear about your special weekend. You DO have a very busy week!! You'll get it all done, and what you don't...it'll be ok. Wish I was there to help!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a wonderful get away...and that Miss Kate had a great weekend as well! By the way, that schedule would make me stressed out too! Just take it one day at a time....and do what you can...This time of year is so stressful without a full calendar!
ReplyDeleteNorah
Also glad Kate did so great. I feel you on the stress. I finally decided not to even worry yet about putting our Christmas tree up for awhile, as it was feeling like another 'thing to do' instead of something fun. Keep blogging this week, I think it does relieve stress. : )
ReplyDeleteAt least you were able to have a wonderful little getaway. This can be a busy, stressfull time of year, especially when we have children involved in so many things. I feel your pain. We leave for Disney on the 16th so I must have everything done because we don't return until the day before Christmas Eve!!!! It will all come together for both of us.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Robin

You PROBABLY still have to PICK out PRESENTS for those PRECIOUS kids of yours as well! PLEASE dont forget to make it to the POST OFFICE with your POUNDS of cards! Whew.....I'm POOPED just PECKING this out on the "PUTER"!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear everyone had a great weekend. It sounds like you needed the rest before this week!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Harry when his day comes and I can't wait to hear about your big Christmas party. Remember, lots of (food)pictures! ;)
And 200!? Christmas cards?! You must obviously have another Christmas card tradition than where I live.
GOOD LUCK! I'm feeling it too!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I come here I find myself blessed by you, your family, your honesty, your grace, your sweet beautiful smile. Just thank you for you, Kim.
ReplyDeletePraying your Christmas and holiday season beautiful in every way!
So glad your trip went well!! I like the "too blessed to be stressed" saying! Very clever... and I have to remind myself of that too!
ReplyDeleteKim I have no idea how you do it all with THREE kids....I was completly frazzled over my baby daughters birthday on Fri past!!!
ReplyDeleteYou will get there, of that Im sure!! Dx
Yeah for the weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a full week! My suggestion...get a long piece of paper :), make a list, and check it off one by one.
Have a good, and productive, week.
Oh my you are busy! Don't worry sweet friend, it will all come together. Wish I could help you out! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain my friend!! We have something everyday this week and weekend and I have bought 1 Christmas present! We are not having our big Christmas party this year -just a few friends for a dinner party so that will be a little easier. Still feeling a bit overwhelmed. I know it will all get done-just hoping I enjoy the season. Hope you do too!
ReplyDeleteThe important things will be accomplished! Just take a deep breath and pray that the Lord will help you! Enjoy your birthday boy. I want to hear about your getaway. Where did you go?
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you are feeling all this stressed... Sometimes our lives can too busy. But then we ask ourselves what can we give up? Because most of our activities center around our children, answering that question can be so hard. Keep your chin up, girlfriend!!!
ReplyDeleteWould you happen to know the best place to buy an artificial Christmas tree? I have looked everywhere but can't find one I love.
