Thank you

Thank you so much for all of the kind feedback. Y'all were very kind!!! I was hoping for demographics (and I got that) but I also got so much more.  I felt like I was personally meeting each of you who check in here from time to time.  It was interesting to read how many people make the tortilla soup (yum!) and how many readers are single young women hoping to have a family some day.  I was astonished to find that the owner of the Lily Pulitzer store where I shop reads.  What a small world. Meredith, I would love to meet you one day when I am up there shopping!

It also seems that only a few males read (or at least only one commented) and I must say that I loved what he wrote.  He kinda made my day.  Thank Etienne!

And this one made me cry....

Besides loving your pics and watching your children grow, I follow you because I truly feel that meeting you and Kate is what helped bring Cadence home to us. 35 years old, Virginia, 2 bio girls and 1 girl from China. married 9 years. Thank you!

Kate and I met Stacy one day in Virginia years ago and she was contemplating adoption.  We talked for a long time that day and now her daughter is home!!!!  See, you just never know how God will use you in everyday life.

I enjoyed hearing about which kinds of posts you like and that will definitely help me down the road.

I used random generator to pick a winner and Elisa won. She said...

I woke up a little under the weather this morning...headache, congestion, drip nausea...all the signs of the classic sinus infection I get every year at this time.  I DO NOT want to have to take antibiotics after everything I have done to clean up my system.  So, I went straight to an acupuncturist that I have been seeing for a different reason.  She stuck about 50 needles all over my face .  And while usually acupuncture does not hurt, these did a bit.  But I feel about 80% better already. The congestion is gone. The headache is gone.  I am just pretty tired.

Dave and I are giving a talk on communication in marriage to engaged couples at our Church tomorrow night.  I sure hope I feel well enough to do that.  So, I know I am behind on posting about our Disney trip but I am going to go curl up with some magic potion (recipe later) and watch TV.  How decadent!

I will post these two Disney shots...

Dave and Harry are NOT big roller-coaster fans.  Will and I are though.  We finally convinced them to go on Space Mountain.  Harry loved it and I think Dave even liked it a bit. They did this funny, see no eveil, hear no evil, say no evil pose during one of the rides.

This is right after Will and I rode Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom.  I was really looking forward to this roller-coaster as we watched them building it the last time we were there.  But I despised it.  It made me very motion sick.  I am trying very hard in this photo to not throw up!
Look Will is almost as tall as me now!

Be back soon with LOTS more photos!

  1. Hope you feel better soon. I've been reading a lot about the antibacterial benefits of honey (for staph, etc.---we thought the girls had MRSA, but thankfully, they don't) but it is also used to treat sinus infections. I haven't researched it much about it for sinuses but thought you might be interested.

  2. Me and Kaitlyn rode that as well and we both got motion sickness, funny though the rockin rollercoaster didn't bother us a bit. Go figure!

  5. Are you kidding me??? You rode it!! I was so thankful to stay behind with Hoot last year. There is NO WAY I would get on that thing! I am so proud. I would have been sick the rest of the day!

  6. We love love love Expedition Everest! We call it the Yeti! Sorry it made you sick. I won't ride Tower of Terror. I don't do the whole up and down thing.

I don't remember how I found your blog. I have been following for a while now. I mostly started following because I have 2 adopted children (Russia) and I just like following other adoptive families.

  9. Hi Kim. I think we've emailed each other, but I can't seem to find your email address. I just wanted to thank you for stopping my blog and leaving that sweet comment. It touched my heart. I'm not coping as well as I usually do this week. I could really use those prayers.
