Off to Roundtop....

store 143

My lack of posting this week has not been intentional but I have been busy, busy, busy here. I am working on a BIG project and Kate attends a school that recognizes ALL of the Jewish holidays. Let me just tell you that there has been one holiday each week since school started (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkoth, and there is another one next week). Fall is a very festive time for the Jewish people....Happy Holidays to all my friends. So, Kate has been off from school a lot which limits my computer time.

However, tomorrow, I get to go somewhere I have not been in YEARS. Roundtop is a HUGE outdoor antiques/decor show (these photos are all from prior shows). It is held twice a year and dealers come from all over to sell their wares. I cannot usually go because well...I have 3 kids at 3 schools with different schedules and I usually can't get away for a day or two. But tomorrow, my friend Amy and I are sneaking away for the day to see what we can find. Roundtop doesn't officially start until this weekend but we have been told that dealers are setting up and ready to sell, so we are hoping to find some cool things. Wish us luck! I'll let you know what we find.

Dave told me to leave all the credit cards and the checkbook at home. Isn't he funny?!

I love that man's sense of humor!

  2. I turned down an invite to Rountop a few years ago due to a scheduling conflict. After looking at your photos ... I feel sick! I had no idea what I was missing.
Looks like my kind of shopping!
    Enjoy!

Hope you find some goodies with the money you had to raid from your children's piggy banks :)

Roundtop looks and sounds a lot like Brimfield here on the East Coast. I've come with some fabulous finds.

  13. A dealer that I've bought a few things from at Scott Antique Market here in Atlanta goes to Roundtop. She lives here, but carries beautiful French antiques. So much fun....my daughter lives in Houston (Midtown) now and I definitely have a visit penciled in to coincide with it one of these days.
