Re-entry is hard!
After a week or two here....
playing your favorite games and doing your favorite activities with friends and counselors.....
(Dad even played along~and caught some air!)
and dancing and singing and praising....
and staying up late, raiding cabins, having devotionals, parties and FUN...
It is hard to come home.
Both boys had a GREAT time at camp. Will was very, very sad to leave. He really grew a lot over the last two weeks. His relationship with Jesus deepened in ways I could have only dreamed of.
Neither of the boys got a lot of sleep and they are exhausted. I am proud of both Will and Harry as they received some distinct honors at camp. They had a lot of fun and right now I am attacking the smelliest, dirtiest four loads of camp laundry!
I LOVE their camp and only wish that I could go there.
Love this!! Looks like a WONDERFUL place :) I imagine it is hard to come home...
ReplyDeleteThat picture of your hubby?!? Too cute!
Happy Sunday, my friend :)
It is sooo hard to go home when you are having sooo much fun..
ReplyDeleteLove the photos..
Have a great week..
Hugs..
What a wonderful camp! I'd love you to email me the name of it for my boys... just as another option! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo glad they had a wonderful time! I'm with you, wish they had a place like this for adults :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like they had such a great time. And it's always wonderful when they grow from their experiences!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are home already!!! So glad they had a wonderful experience again!!! What a wonderful gift you are giving them every summer to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with that stinky laundry! :)
Hugs,
Di

ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Robin
Hi Kim, I just sent my oldest up North (to bug country!!) for 10 days.
ReplyDeleteThe house seems so quiet. Even Brill seemed at a loss as to what to do without her big sister. :)
I'm so glad your boys enjoyed their camp experience as it is so good for them.
Happy Sunday!
Snick :)
Glad your boys had fun at camp! It looks like a great place!
ReplyDeleteI love that your boys tend to get a lot of recognition and awards at school and other activities. You and your husband must be doing a wonderful job raising them and I know that you're so proud of them :)
So glad that your boys had such a great time at camp. it looks like a wonderful place. My boys beg to stay all summer long, they loved it so.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how "growing" can really take a lot out of you? It's a good thing though - a really good thing.
ReplyDeleteGlad your boys are home; better than ever ;)
Now - GO! Enjoy the rest of your summer with your peanuts!
That is wonderful! I love summer camp. My sisters and I all went to camps (different ones) for sleep away during the summer. It's a great experience. We also did church camp which was a really great time for spiritual growth. :) Come by and visit my blog. I've missed you and I am going to post new news tomorrow! xo
ReplyDeleteIs that Kanakuk? my two older kids use to go there when they were younger?

Wow, that looks amazingly fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time!!! Great pictures...you captured a lot of fun!!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! What a great way to "end" summer and start the school year. God has BIG plans for these peanuts! =)
ReplyDeleteWow, looks & sounds like a fantastic camp!!!
ReplyDelete:)
Awww welcome home! The car picture is priceless!
ReplyDeleteYour children always look like they are having so much fun, just being kids! Kate must have been so excited to pick up her brothers from camp.
ReplyDeletePS - Thanks so much for you comment on dating. I doubt myself all the time and often worry about letting a good guy pass. I once went out with a guy 10 times and couldn't bring myself to kiss him. I often think that God wouldn't let me be so stupid as to let the right one pass me by...I hope I am open enough to know!!!!
So happy to hear they had such a great time at camp! Looks really cool! As a Mom to a former camper -- throw the socks away, they will never get clean! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
Janet
Welcome home Will and Harry! Camp looked awesome!
ReplyDeleteI always hated coming home from camp too... and my 13 y/o is currently having campy withdrawal symptoms. Glad to see they enjoyed it so much!
ReplyDeletejust sweet ... I think camping days are the best nenories a child can have for life and it helps the child to grow up and face relatioships into another perspective. I do miss my camping days. Your kids are so beautiful. God bless you and your lovely family.
ReplyDeleteMalu
Taylor cried when I picked her up from church camp this year. She hated to leave camp and the counselors and friends she made. Our camp has been such a blessing for us and for her. Last year was her first year and when she came home she knew she wanted to be baptized - very awesome! So glad Harry and Will had wonderful experience at camp!
ReplyDeleteWell doesn't that look like a great camp! Glad the boys had fun! I'm sure you're thrilled to have them home -stinky laundry and all!
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite pieces of scripture...very powerful! I am just preparing my kids for a week of camp! They are getting really excited...although I am not sure if I am looking forward to the inevitable smelly laundry ;)
ReplyDeleteKim, that looks like heaven on earth and I just love how you are giving your children every fabulous opportunity to deepen their faith. Beautiful! (Sleeping Harry is too adorable for words!)
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, boys! I know you missed them and don't really mind cleaning those dirty clothes!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the pictures from camp pickup! Looks like the boys had a wonderful time. I definitely think someone should have a camp for moms. I'll sign up to be your cabinmate!
ReplyDeleteHope the summer is winding down well at your house.
