Spring Fever

Spring Fever

(taken last April~except for the crop, it is straight from the camera)

I am exhausted and lazy and achy and drippy. Seriously, my house is a messy disaster and I have zero motivation. I feel like I am wading through molasses. I thought I was getting sick but then I noticed all the buds and blooms around our southern city. Every Spring, I feel completely drained. I had a doc tell me it was allergies. Apparently, they can make you want to do nothing but sleep or laze around. Some call it Spring fever. I sure hope I can get some energy back soon. My to do list just keeps growing. Has Spring reached your part of the world yet?

  3. I hope you feel better soon! I went for a run outside yesterday for the FIRST time in A LONG time...and I LOVED the Spring weather and I felt great. UNTIL...2 minutes after I got back. I have been sneezing and have a stuffy nose from all that Spring Fresh air! It must be allergies! something bad with the good I guess! :)

  4. I would give anything for a little Spring weather. I do see a robin in the tree outside my window and it's raining instead of snowing but that's as close to Spring as we're getting around here.

How about I come visit you and enjoy some Spring? I'll even help you tackle that to-do list! :)

P.S. I had lunch with Bridget yesterday.

  5. Spring arrived yesterday in NC!! It was 73 degrees! But, the blooms are coming and along with it are the allergies that so many suffer with. It seems worth it though. Bring on the sunshine! (Beautiful picture!)

  6. Oh my goodness yes. We live in an area where all of the Cherry trees are blooming and the wind is blowing all of the pollen our way. We're going through so much Kleenex in our home.

    Take care.

  8. A resounding YES from Southeast Texas!! My onset hit me this past Saturday and it came on w/a vengance!! I managed to get up for work on Monday morning, however, by, lunchtime, I was completely drained! I made my way to the company doctor, I was given a shot and Rx for Zyrtec! The shot gave me momentarily relief, however, by 5pm it was back!!! I stop by the pharmacy, then headed home, showered, took two Zyrtec and climbed in the bed before 8pm!! Springtime ALWAYS wreak havoc on me!!!

I'm feeling much better today. The stuffiness, itchy eyes, relentless sneezing, achiness, and flat out drained feeling has subsided tremendously! I feel like a new person.....for now...that is!!

    Hope you are feeling better!!

  10. Love the picture! My zyzal keeps my symptoms from affecting me too much. Unfortunately, the boys are all on Zyrtec for the same reason. I'll take it for the warmer weather though!!

    Hope you feel better soon!

  11. I've never heard that explanation for Spring Fever but it sure makes sense.

We have had a few beautiful days here and I want to do nothing but get outside. Needless to say, nothing is getting done inside but we are having fun at the park and eating water ice!

  13. We are getting some beautiful spring-like weather here this week and I LOVE it! I am not a winter person at all! I do get the spring allergies, but if that's the trade-off for warmer weather I'll take it. I didn't get to comment on yesterdays post but I love what you've chosen to do in Kate's room.

  15. Wow...what a gorgeous photo! Do you love your camera now that you have had time to get used to it? My d70s was dropped...and my amazing, expensive lens isn't working right...neither is my camera. It's been months...and I need a new one.

I know how you are feeling. I'm pushing and pushing to get things done. I keep making myself little deals like 10 minutes of laundry...10 minutes of computer time. It's pretty sad!

  16. We have had a few days of spring, but I hear that it is quickly moving out!

I feel your pain..... my "to do" list is a mile long and I feel that I have a million things started and nothing that it is completed.......frustrating to say the least.

Hopefully you will be in better spirits soon!

  18. This is a stunning image Kim, perfectly composed. Love the color.

Sadly Spring has not come our way yet, though the snow is finally leaving Wisconsin. I'd welcome some warmth but know it will arrive. And I feel your pain about the Spring fever thing, I get it every year too!

  21. Yesterday was like spring, warm sunny and beautiful and today was cold rainy and dreary! I am so ready for warm weather and blooms abounding but I also suffer with allergies when things start blooming.

    Blessings,
    Robin

  22. Love the detail in the picture, and what a beautiful color.

I *think* spring has started to pop around here, but in NE you never really know....could wake up with a foot of snow tomorrow, and no one would think anything of it.

Starting to see buds on the trees, and the birds are singing...I'm very hopeful:-).

    Hope your energy returns soon.

    Hugs,
    Tami

  23. I hope you feel better soon! Florida is definitely warmer. We even used our air conditioning last night! I think that all that we do catches up with us and causes us to be really tired at times. I had a few weeks recently where I literally felt sick I was so tired. Allergies don't help either. I hope you feel better and more energetic soon!
