Their description: The complexity of dark chocolate is enhanced by the addition of Fleur de Sel, a premium French sea salt in this premium new chocolate bar from the Lindt Master Chocolatiers.

My description: Heaven on Earth.

I sincerely apologize to anyone who has given up chocolate for Lent. I just discovered this chocolate this week (at the grocery store) and I am completely smitten. For me, it is the perfect combination of sweet and salty...sigh. And it's dark chocolate so it's good for you:)

I still haven't shopped and I find that I have some extra time on my hands. Who knew shopping took up so much time?

  1. Oh my that sounds divine!!! At a little chocolate shop, Sucre in New Orleans they have the most amazing caramels with sea salt on top....They sold me on the salt in chocloate concept, and I will be looking for these next time I go to the market!

  3. Dark chocolate with salt is indescribable! I don't keep candy in the house, for good reason! However, the truffle stand in the home section of Nordstrom has a "dark chocolate and sea salt" truffle and it is to die for!

  5. And put all the money into a jar that you would have spent shopping, and you'll see how much you saved! I did that when I quit smoking. Turns out I blew quite a bit of money.

    Good for you!
    Best,
    Snick :)

  6. Sounds great! I personally do not have a sweet tooth at all but my mom loves chocolate so I will pass this along to her. I'm more of an indulger of grease..pizzas, fries, etc. If I have a craving it's usually for a great cheese burger and fries. Although I must admit the description of your chocolate was tempting, even to me :)

  11. I don't know.....

I still don't think you can beat a regular milk chocolate bar and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps.

    YUM!

  12. Oh that sounds so good...love sweet and salty!
So cool that you are giving up shopping for lent. I don't think we realize the place that something has in our lives until we remove it. I found when getting rid of my possessions to move to China that at first it was so easy and joyful and freeing, but as it got close to time to go and it got down to the core "stuff" I found that I really did have some attachments to the material things. After our year in China I really got free. I use things now, but they really don't have a hold on me. God kept saying that all I really need is my daughter and my Bible, and that has been so true!

  15. You are so cute!! Britton always gives up Choc for lent. And she makes it too. I could never do it. Then on Easter we give her a giant bunny and she plans on mowing it but only can take a few nibbles, I begged her not to do it this year, I can't take it! lol

I am giving up freaking out. So far so good...well see. haha

And hooray for Missy for winning the MJ tote! Congrats on 1,000,000+ hits!!

  18. That sounds divine! I bought some Fleur de Sel in Paris six years ago. It is fabulous. I imagine it is quite tasty on this chocolate too! I'll have to look for it.

  22. A friend of mine told me about this chocolate - not sure why since I can't eat it ... but I did buy it for my college boys Valentines Day care package.
Way to go on the 'no shopping' ... me too ;)

  23. Found it at Target today. Love it! It is the perfect combo. I still can't get my blog to show up on my profile, even with daughters help! So for now I added my blog on profile column that reads blogs I follow. I wasted a lot of time trying to fix it...ugg.
