Kate has been asking me to "curl" her hair forever! Every time I take the boys to get their hair cut, she sees a poster of a woman with beautiful long curly locks and she covets them. She asks me if she can grow her hair long and curly:) I must admit that I did not think Chinese hair would actually hold a curl but then we saw Lucy's lovely curly locks and I was inspired to give it a try. So, today, I made a first attempt to curl her hair. I used two curling irons (one is a spiral iron from the 80's!). Obviously, I need a lot more practice but my little sweetie was THRILLED with her curly hair!
So cute!! Maddy likes curly hair too -- and I wish and pray for lovely straight hair!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
Janet
Love her curls :) Her is growing back so quickly!
ReplyDeletePrecious darling! Lovin her curls. You are a good mommy you know!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! She is looking so much older lately.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the super kind sugar. You spoiled me tonight:) Kate's hair looks adorable and her smile shows that she feels the same way. I did contemplate my J. Crew post because of your hiatus...sorry;(
ReplyDeleteWhat precious girl!! Love the curls. She looks adorable with curls!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
jody
I love a little girl with curls! She looks sooo sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so cute with her curls!!
ReplyDeleteI would most definitely need to brush up on my curling skills.I cannot even remember the last time I used a curling iron..... I have been slave to a flattening iron for at least the last 7 years:)
Have a great night!
Lisa
Oh, she looks like a little doll! I love her curls!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! She looks thrilled!
ReplyDeleteMy girls love having theirs curled up too, I find the only way to really get the curls to last is to have them sleep in sponge rollers. It's quite funny when we first take them out. :)
Look at her! She looks LOVELY with her curly-locks, and I have to say, you did a really good job, too :)
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are really beautiful, Kim... gorgeous light and a gorgeous girl!
She is adorable...straight or curly...but look how happy she is!!! Lia, also, covets the curls. The curling iron did not work so well, but we put little briads in after her bath a few weeks ago and she slept with them...and...well...she was one wild woman in the morning...hair everywhere. But she was so so proud and happy as I sent her off to school...really a moment I won't soon forget.:-)
ReplyDeleteSpiral curling iron??? Impressive!!!
LOVE the curls - I am with Kate - no wonder she is thrilled:)
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Ashley
Kate looks sooo cute with curls! I usually put Kamree's hair in sponge rollers once/week and she loves her curls. I also love them because they last for days!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
Ok, here is a hint for all mommies that want to make the PERFECT curls. Spray the hair with hairspray FIRST then curl it for a few seconds. I use Aveda products because they will not cause horrible white flakes. It also smells REALLY good. After you get the curl out, lightly spray again and then let cool until you decide to brush, shake, or comb out. Then give it one last spray for final touches. Again, Aveda products will allow you to work without that "STIFF" feeling.
ReplyDeleteLiLi LOVES to have her hair done at least once a week and that is what I do.
I hope that helps!!!

I think Kate's hair is growing back quickly & beautifully as well (thick!!) I love her nice, black hair :) And it looks darling with curls!
ReplyDeleteSo, I went to scope out my Target's selection of Lindt chocolate - I was disappointed to not get acquainted with the sea salt - but DID pick up the orange - YUM!!!!
Her hair looks adorable. I am NO good with a curling iron (several bad forehead burns and I was forced to never use it again!)but my oldest daughter does my little girls hair beautifully! Last Christmas she curled all three girls hair and it looked amazing. You can check it our here

I had to chuckle reading your post today. My daughter has very curly hair. Every day she complains how she wished God would have given her straight hair like all the girls she knows. I guess no one is ever happy with what they have are they?
ReplyDeleteKate looks adorable in all those curls. :-)
Oh Kim...she looks darling!! I think you did a great job...the more you do it the easier it is...great job!!!
ReplyDeleteADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Di

Cindy
Oh she is darling! Straight or curly this child is precious!
ReplyDeleteWhen Lottie was around 3 years old her hair started falling out and it was because she was low in iron. It took forever for her hair to look healthy again. This is the strange part....her hair was always straight and thin and now her hair has sort of a wave in it and tons of body. Crazy!
Just darling and so sweet that kate wants to be a 'curly' girl. I use to wear those pink sponge rollers in my hair just about every night of my childhood, because my mom wanted me to have curls! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove Kate's smocked dress too.
so very sweet.

She looks adorable! I have fine straight hair and have always coveted long loose waves... unfortunately my hair does NOT hold a curl :-)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I love it!
ReplyDeleteKim she looks so cute!!! I like her hair curly. Adorable!!! Livi actually has curl to her hair naturally. When she was an infant it was wild and curly!!! Addison's is a bit more straight but it holds a curl beautifully!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the curls! I wonder if she would let you try the sponge rollers. They give quite a curl too!
ReplyDeleteTOO CUTE!!! I love it....okay when does your shop open...I'm sending my little one straight over!! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteShe's absolutely adorable!!
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious she loves the curls!! A girl knows when she looks good---gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteJust too cute! I can't let Francesca see this or she'll want her hair curled too lol!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos too!!!
