Monday, August 10, 2009

Miss Katie Ru just decided that she can swim.  She has never had a lesson.  She takes a deep breath...That is me in the green bikini-NOT!

Time for rest:)

We just returned from a fabulous weekend with our good friends.  We all had a great time but there is laundry to be done, a dog to bathe, groceries to buy.....more photos with our friends soon:)

  1. Go Kate! That's so awesome that she figured it out by herself.

We have barely even been to the pool this summer - with just a handful of days breaking 80, it just hasn't been warm enough for me!

  7. Well, I can say I witnessed it first hand, and Kate has potential for the US Swim Team some day! Let's not forget the jumping off the side of the pool!!!! And, may I just mention I miss those gorgeous legs of hers already! (And, yours too, of course!)

    Thanks for playing with us!!!!

    Love,
    Di

  8. That's a good sign SHE WON'T BE AFRAID to take swimming lessons!! She did better than I ever would have done, my caption would have been, I would have sunk like a rock! I went to the schlitterbahn a few summers ago and went down the slide and upon landing, I thought I was drowning! I was gasping for air and practically pulled the poor kid (that was the lifeguard) trunks down in my HYSTERIA!! I know he wanted to slap me, he screamed M'AM YOU CAN STAND UP!! Imagine my embarrassment, or better yet, my teenage kids EMBARRASSMENT! Wonder why they never invited me to go w/them to waterparks again!! Hmmmm!!

PS loved the quip about the girl in the swimsuit in the backdrop! Hey we can dream can't we!! LOL!!

  11. Good job, Kate! You guys have had such a busy few weeks, and I'm glad you're getting to enjoy the summer. Hard to believe it's almost over. It's even harder to believe my baby is almost 3 months old and I'm going back to work in 2 weeks!
