Happy Easter!
(taken with the old camera~no time for the new one because I am holding Kate)

I should have never said Kate was feeling better....all I can say is this...went to Dr. this morning...

HORRIBLE .RAGING. DOUBLE. EAR INFECTION!

She seems to be resistant to oral antibiotics...so we are in for 3 days of antibiotic shots!

Hope y'all have a wonderful and blessed Easter or Passover.

  7. Poor Kate, I hope she feels better soon.

I hope you and your family have a happy and blessed Easter.

P.S. I got the "circus" cupcakes at Kroger. Surprising, huh? I didn't want to pay a ton of money b/c I was doing so many other things for the shower. I did have to special order them but there wasn't an additional charge.

  18. Oh, my. I am so sorry. Lia had to have those horrible thick antibiotic shots in her legs when she was younger. Once we got tubes, it was smooth sailing, knock on wood. I hope Kate is feeling better.

  25. Kim,
I'm so sorry to hear about Kate. We just went through the same exact thing with Cooper, 5 months. His issue is that his stomach is VERY sensitive and cannot tolerate any antibiotics so he ended up on the shots as well for double ear infections. The good news...they work. The bad news...each shot is equal to 10 doses of antibiotics. So with 3 shots, they are getting 30 doses of antibiotics. I know you already have your kids on probiotics but I started Cooper on 1 capsule dissolved in 1bottle per day to help his stomach. It just stresses me out to think of all those antibiotics in his system but we had no other option. Sorry for the rambling :) Hope Kate recovers quickly!

  27. Oh my goodness! I thought I was the only mommy dealing with 100 illnesses at once! My 5 yr.old, Kate(adopted from China on July 4, 2004 from Chongquing)has been living at the doctor's office...just got back with a sinus infection and pink eye! Hope your Kate (and mine!) are feeling better soon. BTW have enjoyed your blog immensely since you began it. Kate loves to see the other "China Kate" and we must check in daily after I come home from teaching 3rd grade. Have a great one and hope our girls are jumping around soon! 32. Poor Kate!! I know how terrible and earache can be, not to mention that BOTH ears infected!

My little one woke up this morning, w/swollen eyes that were "caked" shut and red and swollen! She suffers w/allergies, but this is the first time the eyes have swelled to this extent! It's POURING RAIN here in Beaumont, (and under a tornado watch)!

Wishing you and your beautiful family a WONDERFUL and BLESSED Easter! *Hope you guys didn't get this "front" in the Houston area!

PS I had to tell you, I visited our area Marshalls to find that top....NO LUCK!!!
