Sunday Morning...

A Sunday morning snuggle with "my Daddy"

I posted this on my photo blog but I wanted to post it here too because I think it is truly my favorite photo that I have ever taken.  I love it because it captures a spontaneous, pure and loving moment between two people that I love with all of my heart.

I woke Kate up this morning to adjust for the time change and brought her into our bed for a snuggle. When she snuggled up to Dave, I just
had to run downstairs, grab my camera, open the drapes (for natural light) and get some shots. Kate calls Dave "my Daddy " (instead if simply Daddy).

I must admit that I am loving this 365 project. Even though somedays I feel totally uninspired, I realize that I will have a photo diary of our entire year. I plan to have a book made with one photo from everyday of our year. I would have never captured some of the simple yet precious everyday moments like the one above if it were not for this project.

  3. totally beautiful. I would put that one on the top of my list of favorites as well.

Love your conversations with Will. Made me totally laugh as Ethan is the same way. He is 10 and realizes I am just not in touch with what is "up" now days-- wowI really am getting old!

  5. What a great idea, Kim.
It is those small every day moments that you are capturing in your gorgeous photos that make up a wonderful year.
Every Father's day I make Steve an iphoto book. I think I need to start taking at least one photo each day! Thank you for sharing your idea.

I love the previous post as well! I had to laugh! My dear little Sophie is already starting to give mommy her input on what she wants to wear...it gives me the shakes! :)

  34. Awwww, you can just tell how much Kate adores her daddy! It's a beautiful image, Kim! Way to go on your 365 project! I am so lazy when it comes to doing a photo a day. I even thought of doing the 52 week project (where you take a photo of yourself with your kids once a week) but that was even harder, lol! Anyway, your images are just beautiful!

BTW, did you figure out the monitor calibration? I get my monitor calibrated because I love to use Photoshop so I want to make sure I get the colors right if I edit them (especially if you're printing them out for clients). I apologize for the long post :P .
