Shopping finds

Monday, March 30, 2009

After being quarantined for a few weeks, I made my way to some shops this past weekend.  I found some goodies at Gap, Anthro, and Nordstrom  but I had to share some of my preppy bargains with y'all.

I bought this dress  for Kate at a boutique in Hilton Head last summer.  It is made by Hartstrings.  But yesterday, I saw the same dress at Costo! Oh how I love that store.

They also had this one (which I had to buy).  It is reversible.

It reminds me of Lily and will be perfect for the beach.
And this one.  I have always loved pink seersucker.

Just so you know...they run a little small.  I bought Kate a 4 (and she is not even 3 yet).

Finally, I know all of my preppy friends will love these pajamas.  They are hot pink with polka dots and red lobsters. I found them at TJ Maxx!

Just trying to do my part to stimulate the economy!
Tell me, how are you "saving" money these days?

  1. Cute stuff...I live near Hilton Head and went to the Tanger outlets there this past weekend...I helped the economy out, too!! :) It was FUN!

  3. Oh my goodness, I bought that pink dress last week for Jacey and got Jaden the lime green one with pink ladybugs. I also picked up a couple of cute Carter's cotton play dresses for Jaden there. I love Costco too! (well, actually, I love stimulating the economy anywhere, but Costco is especially fun) :)

Have a great week, I hope Kate is feeling better!

  5. Very cute dresses....I love them all but my favorite is the seersucker...LOVE IT!!

If anyone knows me even just a little bit knows that I love and adore THRIFT STORE shopping. Nothing gets me to hyperventilating faster than finding an article of clothing with so much character that cost 25 cents or less...LOL...seriously, I found the CUTEST top/dress for 15 cents...I'm talking 15 pennies :-)...and yes the store clerk had to resuscitate me.

  8. What great finds!!! How am I saving money? Sadly, eating out less. I love to cook, but I also love a meal prepared by someone else, which can get expensive!

  10. I bought the same ones, and I bought the blue and white seersucker!! They were a great price~huh?

Are those pj's for Kate or for you?? I must have them!! We go to the beach each summer and it is tradition that we have a big lobster feast, and I would love for Hayden to have those jammies. I am headed to Houston in about 30 min, I will be stalking all of the TJ Maxx's!! I have to go drop our passports at the Chinese Consulate for visa's, and will be looking hard for the stores in that area.

I love Costco, but not more than my husband. He is not allowed there without the supervision of a responsible adult:)

  25. Costco is the bomb. I dropped 250 there today. Get the executive card so you get all the coupons. I bought tons of vitamin today with the coupons and a bottle of celebration champagne for $4 off.

The beach wear speaks sweet nothings to my ear! Are the lobster pj's for you or Kate? I'm in lurve!

  26. I love, love, love the pajamas! Do you think I could convince people that the lobsters are really crawfish? If so, I could get them for all my relatives from Louisiana!

I wish we had a Costco near. I have heard such great things about them.

  41. LOVE seeing previews of your cute finds for Kate! I was just at the Heartstrings outlet here in FL today and picked up some adorable things as well!! I was amazed at how similar some of their prints are to Lilly! I never find such cute things at my Costco!

  44. I was in our Costco last week and I picked up these dame dresses---I think I'll hve the seersucker one monogramed--our Costco also had an adorable Hartstring Ladybug dress!!! We live on the East Coast near the Lily Warehouse--so our Costco has never gotten Lily's--I have friends that work for the company and they told me the company is targeting the West Coast to spread the brand---I'm jealous you have Lily at your Costco--but at least we are close enough to go to the warehouse sales!!! Love following your blog--glad your unlocked!!!
