Happy New Year Everyone!
We had a GREAT New Year's Eve. I usually do not like to go out on NYE but this year we were invited to a party in our neighborhood where we saw friends from a long time ago and new friends as well. The kids all played upstairs in a playroom (there was a sitter). And the grown ups ate, drank and played a TV and Music trivia game. It was so much fun! Kate almost made it until midnight. We made it home in time to watch the ball drop with the boys, exchanged kisses and hugs and are going to bed.
All day, Kate kept asking when she could put her beautiful dress on and go to the party. I am telling you...this girl loves parties! All the other little girls there (she was the youngest) fell asleep but not our party girl!!!
I wish y'all a joyous and healthy new year!
When I told Will it was time for lights out tonight, he said,
"First I need to say my first prayer of 09, Mom." What a sweetie!
P.S. For the past few years, on New Years Day, we write one goal or dream or hope we have for the new year on a piece of paper. It is not really a resolution but something we hope will happen. I remember a few years ago writing that I hope to meet our daughter/sister. I find that piece of paper every January 1st and we look over the last year's wishes to see if they came true (and they do). I hope I can find that paper since our move this year:)
Note: Several of you complimented Kate's dress and I want to share my secret with you~I love a bargain! It is Burberry and I love Burberry but I refuse to spend $170 on a cotton dress for a toddler. That is just crazy! This dress was recently on sale at Nordstrom for an obscenely low price. They had several. I almost bought a bigger size for next year too! So check it out if you live near a Nordstom. Oh and speaking of bargains...the t-shirt lady is going to offer us a discount on those tees below...just waiting for the code!
Happy New Year.....may it be a glorious one! ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Steffie
