Thank you to so many of you who stopped by to donate to Rachel's Journey home or at least to read their story and offer some positive thoughts and prayers. They still need some more donations, so if you haven't stopped by and want a chance to help bring a daughter and sister home to her forever family, go see them. You could win a FABULOUS camera!
Also, my friend, Jennifer is walking 60 miles in 3 days this week to raise money for breast cancer. I think that is such a great feat. She raised all of the money she hoped to raise but she sure could use some prayers and good thoughts. So , stop by and leave her an encouraging word. I think the walk starts tomorrow, so go wish her the very best!
Y'all are so nice that I have decided to give away two more subscriptions to Traditional Home. I need to do this quickly as the offer they sent me (I have been subscribing for 13 years) is about to expire. I am sending one to Jennifer as a congratulations for "walking the walk" to help breast cancer and I'll draw a winner from the comments section for the other. Just leave a comment here to be entered. If you want two chances, go leave Jennifer or Rachel's Mom some encouraging words as they both are about to embark on their journeys. Let me know you left them some love and you'll be entered twice:) I will pick the winner tomorrow morning (around 7:00 a.m). Good Luck!
thanks for the giveaway, kim! i love home decor magazines!

Can't believe with all you have going on your thinking of all of us! Hope the unpacking is coming along and your beginning to feel more settled. Also, just wondering what you decided to do with your built-ins. Paint or don't paint. Hopefully I didn't miss your post, if I did please forgive me. The mind is a little scattered lately :-)
ReplyDeleteKim, YOU are the nice one!
ReplyDeleteooh, i love this magazine, and have been cutting back on subsriptions recently. I will go leave some love on the other sites too. Thanks for thinking of your bloggy friends in the midst of your unpacking!

ReplyDeleteHello my friend.... I am praying the Lord brings Rachel home...
ReplyDeleteI wanted to tell you that Hannah got a little doll today for her Birthday that is just like Kate's FiFi. She named her other doll Baby that she got today from Nicholas and wanted to call this one Baby too. WEll, she already has 3 dolls named Mei Mei so I was trying to get her to branch out a little. lol So I told her that Kate named her doll like this FiFi. She said, "FiFi?" I told her yes.... then I said.... what about TuTu? She Said, "TUTUT?????" like I was crazy! Then proceeded to tell me her baby is named KATE! So, please tell Kate that she has a little neice named after her. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
love you,
Daleea

ReplyDeleteKim, so nice of you to link to your friend who is walking! I walked the Atlanta 3Day just over a week ago! Whew! ReplyDeleteHello Kim! I have been blog stalking you for some time now! I love reading your blog as we are about to embark on the journey of adoption (from China). We have 3 boys now and believe that God has two daughters for us already picked out. The house addition plans are all drawn up, the bills are being paid off, and my excitement continues to build. We wanted to make sure we had all of our ducks in a row before we started the ball rolling. Keep up the enjoyable blog! Thanks also for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Amy

ReplyDeleteKim, Thanks for teaching me how to be a better "giver" (Rachels story). I usually think about giving and then move on. But after reading your posts for a long time now...I have watched and learned from your generosity.
ReplyDeleteI hope you know even though you may not know me your blog has taught me to be more like you. I thank you for that. Maureen

ReplyDeleteI tried your tortilla soup recipe last night, and it was delicious! Definitely the best we've ever had (and you know every Tex-Mex restaurant serves it). Thanks so much!
