So here is a guided tour of the highlights of some of our trip....
On our way to the Lakehouse, Diana said we had to pose with this giant fish (a Walleye?) It is a Minnesota thing, I think.
When we got to the cabin, we did some fishing...
Ainsley taught Kate how to fish. We love Ainsley.
Kate got acquatined with "Mr. Jeff"
We love Mr. Jeff too.
And she became very well acquainted with Piper (who is about the nicest dog I have ever met...we love you too Caymus)
Then Captain Jeff (and Kate) took us for a spin around the lake...
Movie Star Ruby
Kim and all the kiddos!
I love this one of Di and Will.
The peanuts loved tubing in the rocket! They had never done anything like that before.
Ruby and Kate did a little playing on the trampoline before a delicious dinner. Ruby is quite the gymnast. I cannot get over her strength and coordination!
The day ended with a campfire and s'mores.
I have some more photos from our trip that I will be posting. As I have said before, this is our digital family scrapbook. I want to remember all of the fun details.
Looks like such a great trip! I love the lake...now Landree-that's another story :)
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. Looks like a blast, so happy you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteIf it is any consolation, I flooded the bathroom as we were leaving for vacation two weeks ago. I did the same thing...I placed an item to be soaked in the sink, ran to change Hannah and break up a sisterly quarrel. WHen I returned, things were floating...I felt so completely silly and panicked to get things cleaned up. It all cleaned up perfectly and only the towels were lost to the mess (they did not completely dry and I had to leave them in the dryer - it was raining). Needless to say, when we returned, those towels got tossed pronto, they smelled funny! (I did try to salvage them, but I swear I still smell the funky smell). So, new towels were had by all:)
Hope you have a restful week getting back into the swing of things.
Heather

ReplyDeleteand yes, the walleye is a minnesota thing. we had a cabin up near brainerd (a little past garrison) and we always seemed to stop and take a picture with the fish...for the past 20 years! our most recent was this past winter--too bad it doesn't look at nice because of the snow!
glad you made it safe and sound and the flight was bearable!
