Not just "virtual friends" (as Dave would say) but we are real friends now!
I have 527 photos to upload and look through, four suitcases to unpack, several loads of laundry to do, 3 hours of the Bachelorette to watch and groceries to buy! But I wanted to post a quick update-----
WE HAD THE BEST TIME "Up North" in Minnesota!
Our trip was truly amazing. We have made a life long friendship with Diana and her family. Every single second of our trip was perfect. They are the most gracious hosts I have ever known. I really cannot overstate this. Di and I connected on so many levels, our husband connected and our kids got along really beautifully (with just a few classic 2 year old moments to "keep it real.").
I really want to thank you all for the incredible support for my flying. I could feel your prayers. A few people called or e-mailed me the night before I left to say that they were thinking of me and I was immensely touched. I did great on the planes and I must say that I feel really proud of myself. This fear has kept me from so many things and has had such a hold on my life for almost 10 years. I doubt that I will ever love flying or that I will be jumping at the opportunity to get on a plane but I know I CAN do it. That feels good. I will be posting PLENTY of photos of the trip. But for now...I need to go to bed:)
So glad that you all had a great time and traveled safe.

Yeah! You did it. What an accomplishment and how wonderful of Diana and her family to host you all. I am so glad you had a great trip and had the courage to take that "leap of faith" to fly and to finally met in person. God was truly with you all gracing you with his love. Whenever I fly I imagine God's hands holding the plane in the sky.
ReplyDeleteGet some good rest, unpack and show us the photos! I can hardly wait to see all the fun. (I did see some photos on Diana's blog and the kids look adorable together.)
I was praying for you!

I am so glad you had a safe trip. I feel the same exact way -- I will never LOVE flying but I will certainly do it again and probably sooner, than later! I need a vacation more than once every seven years!
