Conner
There is a family that we have been friends with since we moved here that really needs prayers right now. The Mom (Kim) is a friend of mine, our children are friends. They go to the same school and play on the same soccer team. Dave has coached Conner's brother and sister in soccer. We really love this family. Conner was born with Primordial Dwarfism. He is currently in California at Stanford undergoing testing. In the next two weeks, Conner will be having two brain surgeries to help with a condition called Moya Moya.
Conner is a spot of sunshine to everyone who meets him. He loves to run around and play and laugh. We adore him. My oldest son, Will and Conner have a special bond. Will often plays with Conner during the soccer games and gives him piggy back rides. Our whole community loves Conner.
I ask each of you to lift this family up in prayer, think of them, send good thoughts and leave them inspiring messages at their Caring Bridge site. This will be a difficult time for our friends and we want to help them in any way possible. You all have been so kind to pray and help anytime I have ever asked on this site and I appreciate it immensely.
I sure will send a prayer up for Mr Conner. He is darling.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us know.
I am this moment lighting a candle (I find it focuses my thoughts on that specific prayer) for Conner and his family and sending a prayer for strength and unwavering faith.
ReplyDeleteIt is my pleasure to join you in this request for prayer.
As you have done for me so many times, consider that precious boy and family lifted up!!!! I have seen God work his miracles through Madison, and I will be praying for God's peace for your friends too. I pray that they will give this up to God, for He truly is the Healer, and He is always in Control. I will be praying that it is in God's will that Conner not only survives but that he thrives. I will also be praying for Will, because I know that this is probably very scary for him too!!
ReplyDeleteYou are a good friend Kim!
Blessings,
Diana
Of Course we will be praying for Connor and his family:D What times that family must be going through. I know how hard it is to watch your baby go into surgery - I will pray for his parent to have strength and find peace. I will also pray for the doctors to have wisdom and good judgment. We will be praying.
ReplyDeleteLadybug hugs,
;D

ReplyDeleteHe is such a precious little gift!

Kim,
ReplyDeleteMy heart aches for Kim, Connor and their whole family. I have discussed their situation with Shannon and cannot even imagine what they're going through. My thoughts and prayers are with them for safe surgeries and a speedy recovery.

We were just watching a the Discovery Health channel, last night, and saw a show about Moya Moya. How random is that?
ReplyDeleteWe were captivated. Yes. Conner is in our prayers. You got it.
Many prayers for Conner and his family.
ReplyDeleteKim just caught up. I will pray for this family and your trip!
ReplyDeleteConner is in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteI will pray for your friends and their child. Please keep us informed as to what is happening. Conor is a darling little boy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling little boy. His sweet nature just shines through in his cute little face! I will pray for him. Sending his family my very best wishes. Surgery on one's child is so very hard.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteWe will pray. We have good friends, whose son, Jon, was a patient of Dr. Ben Carson about eighteen years ago. He also has a very severe form of dwarfism. Jon had at least seven or eight surgeries within the first year and many more followed.
He graduated high school last year and has had a magnificent first year of college. He has been featured on TLC and has had wonderful experiences with Little People of America. He is an amazing young man and has quite a future ahead of him.
Connor will be lifted up as will his family and we thank you for bringing this to our attention. God is in control and He will hold them tight in the palm of His hand.
Love,
Heather
I hope things go well for this little boy and it sounds like so many are holding him in the light. I have a friend whose son was adopted from China and he has Moya Moya.
