Even though I usually do not decorate my house for Christmas until the weekend after Thanksgiving, I think the blog needed a little Christmas cheer. So, thanks to my blog decorator, Danielle for bringing on the holiday cheer. You're the BEST! I could never thank you enough!
Please pray for a family that is in China right now. While they were in China adopting their very long awaited daughter, the father passed away. Now Chinese officials are not letting the Mom leave with her new daughter. Please pray for them. I cannot imagine how very awful this could be.
You posted that thank you very quickly. You are so welcome.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sad story. I cannot imagine the pain that family is feeling right now. I will keep them in my prayers.
Going to email the tote photo to you know.
Thanks for the esnips advice today...it worked...our song is playing! Love the Christmas blog look~
ReplyDeleteAlso, let me know when you're ready to get Kate's quilt blog set up. I'm thinking we should go for something pink and green? Maybe a toile - coordinate the blog with her bedroom?
ReplyDeletelove it! I see she widened the margins so your beautiful collages would fit!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteThe mom in China WILL be coming home WITH her daughter- lots of phone calls to the powers that be made it happen. I was so happy to see it get resolved. Just thought you'd want to know if you hadn't already heard.

Love the Christmas look. I might have to jazz mine up for the holidays :D
ReplyDeleteLove your festive new look! The little stockings with their names on them are just too sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been praying for the family you are talking about. There are just no words.... I am very upset about what they are going through. I pray Jesus will MOVE MOUNTAINS at the INS to bring Mother and Daughter home!
It's me again. Just wanted to let you know that Gwen http://oatsvallteam.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeletewho is in Guangzou right now posted that Hannah and her Mama are coming home. Thank You Jesus for moving that mountain!
too cute.....I've been waiting to turn my blog over as well.
ReplyDeleteI Have been praying for the family since I heard about it last week. They were in Pams travel group. We are also in the same state so it has been all over the news.
Have a great weekend.
LOVE IT! That is so cool. Your friend Danielle did a great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! Thanks for posting about Sandy and Hannah! I just want to also add my Praise God for moving mountains for this family! I saw on RQ their story that the Lansing News did. My understanding is that Hannah is their first child and they were married for 20 years. The photos included Hannah meeting her Daddy on Gotcha Day and her resting on his chest in their hotel room. I am so grateful that God allowed this man to meet his daughter and to see his wife with the child she always wanted before he died. A priceless gift for Sandy! Thanks again and I love the blog. Now that we have snow falling, I too may give Danielle a buzz to help me "decorate!"

LOVE the blog!! I am hoping to do something with mine in the next few days! It looks great!
ReplyDeletePrayers already sent above for that family. How terribly horrible. I absolutely can not image what they must be going through.
Love the new look! and the song!!
ReplyDeleteI heard that they are now letting the mom come home with the daughter. Gwen posted that she saw her and they will be leaving together. Such a horrible situation.
The blog looks great! Kudos to Danielle.
ReplyDeleteI have been greatly troubled by the story this week. Praying Sandi can bring home Hannah and for healing to begin.
Hope you have lovely weekend,
Lisa
Love the new look, it is beginning to look alot like Christmas around here too with snowflakes flying! I am so glad that they are able to come home, it has been on our news.
ReplyDeleteTHAT IS SO CUTE! I WANT ONE! ALSO, WHY WON'T THEY LET HER LEAVE?
ReplyDeleteSo glad that I was delayed in reading your blog. I was so upset about Sandi and Hannah. I was so relieved to read the updated responses right away. Praise Jesus, They will be a family and lift Him. Blessings of an amazing testimony of Faith:)
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas look of your blog is very festive, and I love the Christmas music too! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love your new holiday blog look. Danielle is working on mine as I type. I can't wait to see it! I love Christmas time. We are putting up our tree on Friday. It should be fun!
ReplyDeleteYou blog looks great Kim....nice work Danielle! I think we may need to do some "decorating" and Christmas music ourselves!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing about Sandy and Hannah. I have been following that on the RQ too. This really hit me hard emotionally the other morning when I was reading that the representatives offices had over 1000 calls.....prayer and power in numbers moved mountains for this family! I feel so blessed to be a part of such a "big adoptive family". My heart is so full!
Kim,
ReplyDeleteI'd normally email you but I figure it's a lot more likely that you will check your blog than your email tomorrow.
I just wanted to tell you I loved talking with you tonight (I always do). I am glad we were able to catch up and tweak your blog a bit. The new photo is much better!
I hope you aren't exhausted tomorrow. You went to bed so late! I will be going to the house Monday, so I will be in the car for my usual hour (during Kate's nap time - is it strange that I know your schedule?) so I will call you then.
I wish we could go shopping together. Too bad you're so far away :(
Hugs,
Danielle
I am starting to feel that Christmas spirit! I love the festive new look!
ReplyDeleteI am very sad to hear about the father passing away in China but I am glad to see from the comments above that the mom is coming home with her daughter.
Kim, your blog looks GREAT, love it all!
