Bibs and Camera
Saturday, October 13, 2007
Over the last few months a several people have asked where I buy these bibs. I have sent them to some other blog babies (Ollie, Ruby-Mei, Lily). Kate has four of them. In fact, her first birthday bib which has a cupcake with one candle is from this company too. One of my friends gave me one at Kate's shower and I have been hooked ever since. They look beautiful, they wash wonderfully, and they catch a lot of food! You can order them at Julianne Originals. Julie is a Mom and she makes these bibs and other things too. Her customer service is excellent and her turn-around time is very quick! I think I have bought at least 10 as gifts for people. Tell her I sent you over there:)
To answer another question...my camera is a Nikon D-80. I love it but I really think that if I were to do it all over again, I would purchase the Nikon D-40X. It is brand new and my sister just got it and it is every bit as good as mine for a lot less money. The D-80 is a GREAT camera but it is more professional and it is a bit overwhelming for a novice like me. I have a lot to learn. Apparently, the new D-40X has a "child" setting that is really great for little moving targets. I could really use that setting right now!
I do answer reader questions in the comments section but people have asked these 2 questions repeatedly so I thought I'd post the answers this time. So, if you ask where I got something...give me a day or two and go back to check the comments. I am happy to let people know where I got things. Have a great weekend. Today is our 6 month meeting with our social worker!
I do love the bibs and will now order one for my Raegan. DH says "no more cloths" cause we don't know the size or season we'll meet her! He can't say anything about a bib, or hairbows!!! Thanks for such thoughtfulness toward you readers!

We're one of the lucky recipients of a Julianne Original bib and Kim is right....it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhen Kim first sent the bib to our sweet Lily I was afraid to use it because it looked so sweet I didn't want to ruin it! Not to worry. We've used it repeatedly and it's still as perfect as the day Kim and Kate sent it to us.

ReplyDeleteYou know how cute I think those bibs are. :)
ReplyDeleteAre you going to maybe post photos of Kate with the stickers? I'm not sure you got any since you were on the phone with me.
Hope you're having a great weekend.
Danielle
The bibs are so sweet and so is Kate.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you on the camera. The D-40X is an amazing camera and the size, being smaller than the D-70S and D-80, is so nice. Nikon has outdone themselves with this camera. I love my D-70S but would go for the D40X if I were buying now!
Thanks for the information on both! The bibs really are so adorable! Knowing about the fast turn around time is helpful too! I appreciate the insight on the camera as well!

Those bibs are so cute!!! I love that they are personalized as well! I bought some plastic bibs last month and had to return them because there were high levels of lead in the bibs! So I think I am going to stick to cloth bibs for a while.
ReplyDeleteKatie's tut pics are just adorable! She is just such a cutie!
So when you upload these pictures for us to see....do you do anything to make them look better?
ReplyDeleteI think they are just gorgeous...enough to make me want a new camera! lol
Good question Steffie! Often, I do nothing to them. My camera has some built in editing tools (lighting, cropping, turning to B&W) so sometimes I do that. I have recently begun to do some cropping and lighting on Picassa. I do not have Photoshop or anything like that but I might get it sometime soon:) Hope that helps.
