Look Mom...No training wheels!

Friday, July 20, 2007
Dave has been taking Harry to a flat area in our neighborhood to practice his bike riding. The other day, Harry asked me to take him there so he could show me his progress. He had this look like, "You're not going to believe what I can do now!"

He hopped on the bike (sans training wheels) and pedaled away!

Obviously, he and Dad have been working hard.

He had such a joyful look of accomplishment on his face!

Well, Mom what do you think?

Way to go Harry! I am very proud of you!!

  8. WOO HOO! You go Harry! Thanks for wearing your helmet too! I have taken care of way too many children in the ICU with injuries due to no helmets. Remember you only have one noggin and you cannot trade it in for a new one!

  13. Great job Harry! You look like you got it down, I'm sure there are some "ramp-jumping, hot-wheelin'" days ahead for you!! (ok mom, I'll stop giving him ideas!) Just keep that helmet on!
I smiled when I saw this because my son Ethan, just learned how to ride his bike w/o his training wheels, it was so much fun to see him learn and to see him smile at his accomplishment. His smile was just like yours!!

  18. Way cool. Awesome helmet, it matches the bike! Great biker shorts and T shirt. Are those professional biking shoes? They look like they can give you a solid grip on the pedals when you are riding fast.
