I thought if I was going to post messy photos of Kate Emerson, I had better be fair and post two cute ones too.
Now for the messy ones....
Now for the messy ones....
It is Thursday again and I am listing what I am thankful for:
~We had a GREAT time at the Beach Boys concert with Will and Harry last week. We got front row tickets. It was their first concert and the first time someone ever watched darling Kate (more on that in a minute). We danced and sang and the lead singer kept waving to us. The original Beach Boy (lead singer--Mike Love) came over and gave Will and Harry his autograph. I hope the boys will always remember this concert. Harry has seen the Wiggles but hopefully, he'll forget that.
~ I am thankful that Kate did so well being watched by someone for the first time. A babysitter met us outside of the concert theatre and strolled Kate around on our outside walking Mall during the concert. Kate did not cry or fuss at all according to the sitter. They even strolled to an outdoor concert of their own:)
~I am really thankful that we are going to Houston in a few weeks. We moved from Houston about 3 years ago and we really miss our friends, our church and the restaurants! We look forward to visiting all of the above.
~I am thankful for the blog buddies I have made and the China adoption friends I have. Two of them arrive home today with their new babies and I could not be more thrilled for them.
~I am thankful for a very healthy marriage and home life. Yes, we have "normal" life stresses (allergies, kids bickering, lack of time) but in general we have a great life and I thank God everyday for it.
~I am thankful that my children have had the BEST TEACHERS this year! You know who you are if you're reading.
Since I cannot post without photos I thought I'd include some from a visit to a friend's house in the neighborhood. Our friend, Finley was feeding Kate some organic bananas. It was messy but fun.
We are trying to post some adorable video of Kate. She has learned some new skills and we want to share but we are having problems. Be on the lookout soon though!

Kim,
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see videos of Kate! She is so beautiful, and now such a happy little baby. You can see the impact that your love has had in her eyes and in her sweet smile. She just looks so glad to be home.
I'm glad she did well with the sitter and that you had a great time at the concert with the boys. My first concert was Paula Abdul. I was 9, so please don't judge.
Were there supposed to be photos in that post? I didn't see any.
Glad everything is going so well. Enjoy Greys tonight. Hoping we don't have too many disappointments, but from what I've heard we just might.

HI Kim, do you still have my instructions on how to upload to youtube? I can't wait to see video of Kate!!!
ReplyDeleteKate is so photogenic!! She takes great pictures, as do your boys! So wonderful to see so many smiles!
Snick :)
What wonderful photos! You have such a beautiful family

ReplyDeleteAnother one of my late nights and I can't sleep. It's 2:22 ane I'm finally getting tired. I just thought I'd tell you how disappointed I was with Greys. Did you enjoy it?
ReplyDeleteWhat cute pidtures. You have such a darling family!
ReplyDeleteThose are precious pictures of your beautiful daughter. The concert sounds like it was a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing your thankful list.
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you took the boys to a concert! I took Mia to see the Wiggles as well and can't wait to take her to her 1st big girl concert :0) Kate is too precious and I loved seeing both the messy & clean pics. Keep em coming.

Love the photos! I'm guessing you go through about as many changes of clothes for Kate a day as we do for Lily!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun and safe trip!
Oh Kim,
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are ADORABLE! Love the messy one the best :-)
Where in Houston are you from? We lived in Sugarland in the early 80s and my father died at MD Anderson. I have a brother that still lives there but we are not close, we are 14 years apart so we don't talk much. Kings"something" I believe.
Messy or clean Kate is ADORABLE!!
ReplyDeleteThe concert sounds like it was a lot of fun! I can't believe the Beach Boys are still touring!
Kim, So glad Miss Kate did well with the sitter! Our church just hired me for their Mothers Morning Out director and Katie will be there will me during the day. We did a trial run on Thursday and she wasn't very thrilled about it!
ReplyDeletePlease, please, please come to Orlando sometime so we can meet! We will be happy to introduce Minnie and Mickey and all their friends to your lovely bunch!
Take care my friend!
Kim & Katie
How fun experiencing a concert with your boys. I think family time is the best :) - We actually had one of those rare days today - nothing cool as a concert, but still fun time together.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful family and Kate is just adorable.
Thank you so much for sharing your thankfulness with us this week.
Blessings on your weekend and always.
I like your list. As a fellow mom with the foood allergy issue-yes it is very challenging and potentially scary but there are worse things. Kate is so cute !
