Today started out as any other day. I woke up, had a bottle, ate breakfast, took a nap, played on the floor (I love the hairbrush). Then, one of Mom's friends came over and brought us lunch. That was nice.
But after lunch, we noticed that a box had been delivered. It looked like any other brown box...nothing special.
However, inside that brown box was a beautiful blue box. It was not just any blue but the most beautiful shade of blue. Mom has already taught me that according to etiquette, one must always read the card first.
Then, I untied the ribbon.
Oh, I just love the feel of this box.
Dad had to step in to help open the lid.

Inside was the most beautiful bunny China set. My first gift from Tiffany's and my first set of China. What a day!
Mom told me that I would grow to love the sight of these little blue boxes. I decided to climb inside this magical box. How fun! Thank you Chew family for the wonderful gift! Don't worry Mommy is an etiquette traditionalist so a hand written thank you is on its way too.
Thank you for your well wishes for Kate's ear infection. She is doing much better. I, however, have injured a rib during an especially strenuous coughing fit (a cold or allergies?). It only hurts when I breathe (or move).

Wow...what a beautiful gift!
ReplyDeleteI think I got my first Tiffany's box when I graduated with my Master's! She is starting off right! I prefer Kate in the box but the China is very pretty too!! Her dress is beautiful. What fun you look like you are having with a little girl! I am glad she is happy and feeling better. Dale LID 5-24006

Kim,
ReplyDeleteI love "the pretty blue box" story, Kate Emerson is so precious! All the pictures are beautiful, I love the one where daddy is opening the box...she's just waiting with such innocence! I'm enjoying YOU "enjoying having a daughter" and look forward to doing the same one day! That comment (you made the other day while shopping/lunching with the girls) made me cry. I know I'll feel the exact same way some day! I'm happy for your family, you ALL are blessed!
