A fellow blogger hosts "Thankful Thursdays" where we write what we are thankful for. I am participating this week:
~I am thankful that my almost 10 year old son still gets so excited about a school field trip (to the zoo) that he cannot fall asleep.
~I am thankful that my wonderful husband is cleaning the kitchen tonight while I blog.
~I am thankful for my sweet, affectionate loving daughter. She amazes me every single day. I love her so much that it brings me to tears sometimes.
~I am thankful for really fresh, clean air that we breathe in our little town.
~I am thankful that Harry is finally is starting to be sweet again. He was definitely having "adjustment issues" since Kate came home.
~I am so thankful that the CCAA matched us with our Kate and so thankful that her foster Mom taught her how to hug and love and kiss. She has so much love to give. It was obvious she was loved before.
First, you are too sweet and I wish that you lived further south so that Kate, Lily and LiLi could be the best of friends!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress! I would have bought it in a heartbeat! Pink and toile - what could be more perfect :D
I agree, a little girl can never have too many dresses!

Kim,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog! Fortunately I will be receiving a check for my damaged furniture, and in an effort to remain positive I'm seeing this as an opportunity to pick out something different.
I haven't been to Disneyworld but imagine it's even more magical than Disneyland. We did have a wonderful time though. I'm sure you can't wait to take Kate to see the princesses once she's older.
I'm sure there will be more furniture rants in the upcoming months!
Danielle
Kate is so precious. Glad to hear all is well.
ReplyDeleteWendy
Now, you now a girl can NEVER have too many dresses! Sometimes you just have to have a "costume change"!
ReplyDeleteLove the bedding - Mary Austin's bedding was in toile - now Jane has it and MA is into shabby chic floral!
Julie H
Love the dress, Kate looks beautiful. I am so happy everyone seems to be doing well!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Aunt Doonie
She is so very precious, bless your family always.
ReplyDeleteYou can guarantee if I found a matching one I'd buy it too - I LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love it! I would have bought it in a second. You have a great sense of style and little Kate is so beautiful. I meant to post a comment on the "blue box" post. I just loved it. I still squeal with delight when I get one and I'm sure my girls will be the same.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you've ever checked this site out before but I just love it and wanted to share it with a fellow shopaholic. I've ordered several custom bows and the two tote bags embroidered with "Mia" & "Mylee" are my girls! Enjoy!

Hi, I have been following your blog for quite some time. An old friend of mine is in the process of adopting from China as well. My family just wanted to tell you that you have THE MOST beautiful daughter. I don't know what it is about her...Kate's smile just makes us melt and looking at her makes us all feel so good inside. She truly is an angel. All good things are coming this little dolly's way... God Bless you all..
ReplyDeleteLove the dress. How cute that it matches her bedding!
ReplyDeleteKate's so photogenic! She is adorable as always. Nice job Mommy!
ReplyDeleteKim
Dear Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet words. They melted my heart. I think she is an angel too but I am a little biased!
Kim
Those pictures are adorable! She is a precious little girl, and you did a beautiful job with the dress.
ReplyDeleteI just know that the newest addition to your family will be blessed to be in such a loving environment.
Thanks for sharing your list.
My theory is this, if it isn't comfortable enough to wear during a nap...don't wear it.
ReplyDeleteTerri -
ReplyDeleteMy theory is that if it cute enough to stop a train and the baby is happy you wear it!
Kim - you are doing a fantastic job taking care of your family. Your blog makes me smile every time I look in. All your smiling kiddos are just so darn cute! Keep up the good work!!
MaryAnne
I love that dress and wish I could find them for my little girls. Kate looks gorgeous in everything...she's a beautiful little girl and has the sweetest smile. Emma never smiles for the camera, but she's all giggles the rest of the time!
ReplyDeleteSeveral people have e-mailed me asking who makes this toile dress. The manufacturer is Noa Lily and their website is www.noalily.com
ReplyDeleteI found it it in a children's boutique in our town though so I don't know if they sell things on the website.
Kim
Hi Kimber, no, a girl can never have enough dresses!!~!~ Sunshine's closet is ridiculously full, and she outgrows them before she can wear them twice. But it does my heart good to see her in them even once!! To show you how bad my dress obsession is, I get them sent to me from the UK. The handsmocked ones from Marks and Spencers, Chicaloo and Heskia are my favourite!
ReplyDeleteBecause I was planning on a toddler adoption, I pitched all the really small baby clothes EXCEPT all those beautiful dresses. :)
....and I haven't worn a dress in years! Go figger!! ;)
Hope everyone is healthy again.

ReplyDeleteI am so thankful you share your life with us! And most especially that precious girl, in her VERY adorable dress... there's no way I could have passed that up either!
ReplyDeleteA girl can NEVER have enough dresses . . . especially when one matches her room perfectly! :)
ReplyDeleteKim,
