First, thank you so much to those of you who bid on the auction items for the adoption fundraiser. I am so excited to send $255 to the family. That makes me so happy!
Secondly, thank you so much for the feedback on the last post regarding manners. I really appreciated all of your thoughts and perspectives. I plan to write more about it all on The Nurtured Home once the peanuts go back to school (in a few weeks).
Harry has been at Camp Utopia for a week now. I did really well for the first 5-6 days but then I really started to miss him a lot. I don't know how I am gong to be able to deal with any of these peanuts going to college someday! I like my kids.
The other night I had a gut feeling that Harry had a migraine. It was just a feeling but it would not leave me. So, the next morning, I e-mailed the "Camp Mom" to inquire about him. Sure enough he had one exactly at the time I was feeling it. How about that for Mother's intuition? It even crosses state lines, y'all!
So, I thought I'd share some camp pictures. I doubt y'all are interested but I know that I will be glad I have them here someday.
Gah~ I love that SMILE!
This is a camp friend. I think he and Harry keep in touch a little throughout the year.
They have been hanging out a lot this year at camp.
His cabin buddies!
This one (above) is the day after his migraine. You can tell he is not 100%
Harry is quite the competitor!
I covet your prayers for Harry. He has had the HARDEST year you could imagine (last school year) and Camp Utopia is his happy place. Please pray that he does not get any more migraines. He comes home Saturday and I just want the rest of his days there pain free.
One last thing. I have been working on some home projects that I have not even really looked at my beach photos since we got home. Our last night in Seaside, we wandered upon a proposal and I offered to photograph it for the family. I cannot wait to edit those too! I'd love to share them but not sure I should. I will be sending them to the family. So, anyway I will be posting beach photos in the next few weeks but for now..I am enjoying the last few weeks of summer with the kids before school starts and accomplishing so important things at home.
Harry looks so happy, even the day after a migraine. Hopefully he grows out of them. xo
ReplyDeleteI looked at the second picture and before I read your line above it I thought "What a great smile"! His happiness radiates for sure! Praying that the rest of his week is painfree.

He is such a cutie!! So sorry about the migraine --hope he doesn't have any more and can enjoy his camp experience! Almost back to school time!!
ReplyDeleteYou can tell he is having a blast by his smile !
ReplyDeleteHe is having a ball. I am so happy for him. Migraines are so painful I don't want him to even have one more!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! Enjoyed the camp pics, Harry seemed to have had a great time and I do hope that was the last of the migraines for his time there. I just now stopped to pray for him as he heads back to school. The pic of him in the VA LAX tee looks so much like his dad:)
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying the remaining summer days!!
