Teddy Bear Tea 2011

Tuesday, December 20, 2011
I took Kate to the Teddy Bear Tea again this year.  The children bring a new Teddy Bear to donate to the local area women's shelter.  This Tea is such a special holiday tradition.  I took Will there when he a a lil chap too.  This year we went with our friends, A and E.

The tea is packed with fun for the little ones.  First, the Ice Princess greets the guests and gives them crowns and wands (she remembered us from prior events and gave us an extra crown and wand for a special friend.)

The little girls sipped their hot cocoa and ate finger sandwiches while we Moms had tea and sandwiches too.

There was an old fashioned marionette show of Twas the Night before Christmas....

A teddy bear (that Kate's historically was afraid of) who was dancing around making them laugh...

The girls colored t-shirts, decorated cookies, had a limbo contest and there was a Magic Show.

The Ice Princess adores Kate and chose her and her good friend to have a fun part in the magic show.  Our girls had SO MUCH FUN!  Look at those laughing faces!!

I really cherish these time with my kids because they grow out of this phase so quickly.  I know that Kate and I probably only have another year or two of the Teddy Bear Tea.
