Christmas Decor {updated at bottom}

Thursday, December 22, 2011
I have not been a good blogger.  I learned something this year.  No matter how organized you are--no matter how early you THINK you are getting your cards out and your shopping done-- December will always be CRAZY busy and you will never have time.  And then, just when all the shopping and wrapping is complete, your husband will leave a list of gift ideas (for him) on the kitchen counter on December 22nd (even though you asked for this over a month ago)!  I am not a December 22nd shopper people!  Seriously, I am a little bit sad.  I tried so hard to get things accomplished (and I did) so that I could just relax with my family and enjoy life and guess what...it is not happening so much. Anyway, I am SO behind in things I want to post about but here is a peek at our decor this year. I have not photographed it all but here is what I have....

I know mercury glass is all the rage now but I have been collecting it for a very long time.  In fact, it kinda bugs me that it is everywhere now.

I cannot wait to photograph the dining room and table scape for Christmas but I want to wait until I have the fresh flowers for the table. It is still too early for me to buy them. Also, I have some decorations in the kitchen but I did not really photograph it.  Hope y'all are enjoying the last few days before Christmas!

Last week I won an antique German grainsack tree skirt from Kym at A Beautiful Mess on the Willow Decor blog.  It arrived today and I immediately put in on our tree.  LOVE it.  Thank you Kym!!  And thank you Gina for hosting the giveaway.
