To Twinkleotes (she asked)~these are straight out of the camera...no photoshop or anything.
Swimming on Saturday and a family bike ride on Sunday (in January)!
P.S. Thank you for all of your positive support on yesterday's post. I feel very encouraged and inspired. I have a lot of post ideas floating around in my head. And I found an amazing Bible study to join!
Looks like a Great way to spend a Sat. and Sun..
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT.
Hugs..
Can't wait for upcoming posts...
I know, right?!?! Is this some crazy weather or what? We woke up in the 30's though, so I guess we're back to winter for a bit.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!
We just woke up to a blanket of snow this morning!! Where did THAT come from? HA!!! Swimming & sunshine sound sooo nice :)
ReplyDeleteOHMYGOODNESS! I'm moving to Texas. Today we have freezing rain and temps are in the 20's. Oh well, that's life in Michigan. Thanks for warming my insides with these great photos. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am SOO jealous of your warm weather!! I am really looking forward to the additions to your blog! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm officially wishing we lived somewhere warm and not in NJ where 40 degrees seems "hot"!!
Literally, the high today is 40 and we have planned some fun things to do outside this afternoon (since 40 is pretty warm considering it's been in the 20's lately!) and then I see the adorable pictures of the peanuts swimming. Looks like they had such a great time. To swim outside in January is a gift for sure- enjoy your beautiful weather!
Emily
SOOO jealous!! It was 2 degrees when we woke up this morning! Beautiful pictures...looks like the kids are loving the warm weather!!
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm a little jealous of the beautiful weather! 35 and raining just isn't quite the same! What I would give for a bike ride!
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys had a fun weekend. I hope your date night went well last ngiht (actually, I hope the babysitter was good allowing you to have a nice date night).
Rachel
What a fun way to spend the weekend. I love Kate's bathing suit. It is ADORABLE. It's just as cute on her now as it was on her 2nd birthday :) LOVE it!
ReplyDeletei am so envious! we have 33 degrees and no snow. only rain. oh well. i can't wait for some arkansas heat this fall (when i visit home!)
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteWe just got back home from our little trip and I am catching up on all your posts....I am so excited to hear you will be posting on decorating and other things too....you have such a great sense of style and I am always looking for new ideas!! Of course I love hearing all about your peanuts and seeing their beautiful pictures too!!
So glad that you had a wonderful warm weekend...I am so jealous!! Good news on the sitter....hope you enjoyed your dinner at the French Restaurant!!
Happy New Year!!
Lisa
Almost forgot....love your new look!! Jennifer will be doing my next blog redesign this week....I am so excited!
ReplyDeleteLisa
Wow - mild in PA - but not bathing suit mild! Did you use photoshop on these or are the colors right from the camera? Either way - I am impressed - and jealous...but in a good way :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.... 2 feet of snow or 8 feet of beautiful pool water, suntan lotion, and sunshine??? When can I come?!!!
ReplyDeleteKate looks beautiful in these photos!!!!
Love,
Di
Okay that's just not right!! As I sit here on my couch FREEZING. We had 78 yesterday and today its 34. Had a cold front hit and burr it's cold!!! Looks like the kids had a BLAST!!!
ReplyDeleteNo swimming here! I wish you the very best year! Can't wait to read your new blog posts -- I need some major photography help (and decorating and entertaining and cooking...).
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear about the Bible study. Every year, I struggle with my consistency too. But at least we are struggling and haven't given up, right?! A Bible study sounds perfect.
Much love!
Can you believe how hot it's been? It's driving me crazy!! I guess I should be used to it, though.
ReplyDeleteI love the new look! It is so cute. So funny about the kids' names and your last name. I love it!
Can't wait to see what you do to the house. It is so beautiful already!
KIm, I LOVE your blog, and one of the reasons why is you remind me of my sister. You and she would hit it off b/c she is a natural decorator too. I have often encouraged her to do a blog and even told her when she said she wouldn't be able to write like I do that she could blog about decorating!!! I am NOT a gifted decorator like you and my Sis but I love looking at photos of your house and looking at hers.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love to blog about my family but I too like to blog about my passions as well, which are writing and orphans. So GO FOR IT!!!
OK, totally off-topic but I could not help but notice Kate's earrings. If I am not prying too much, could I ask when she got them and how she did with the whole thing. Susannah REALLY wants some and I am just not sure. DH says he doesn't care, but I just don't know. I am so new to all this girl stuff. However, Susannah seems to be noticing that she looks "different" and if earrings would make her feel all pretty, then I think I might go for it. OK, sorry to ramble. I don't know how to email you, but Denise has my email if you'd rather do that or maybe you could just comment at the blog. I know I am asking personal stuff though! Sorry!
Ok..I am so jealous! We have had nothing but nonstop snow up here in the Northwest.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing about the bible study you are joining.
Can I just say that I am glad that I am not having to put a bathing suit on my body right now..hee hee! The kids look like they are having a ball~
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures.....going out tomorrow to scope out a new camera....I'm addicted.....lol....and I am sooooo jealous of these pictures....I'm afraid we won't be in a swimming pool like that until we are in Maui for two weeks in April....sigh....it's so cold here....can we come for a visit? We are summer people and winter just kills me! lol ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Steffie
Love the pictures with the camera. And, must admit that I am sooo jealous of the swimming. It's months before we can even think about outside swimming here in Southern Illinois.
ReplyDeleteWow - that sounds like a wonderful weekend. How fun for you all! We're freezing here in California. I long for the days in the sun and water.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year,
Michelle\
YOU ARE THE BEST! Best mom, best photographer, best writer, and best answer-er to questions! Thanks a million! I am really impressed! Wow!
ReplyDeleteKim, are you going to attend the Beth Moore study? If you are, I'd love to introduce myself to you. I told my husband I feel like I know you already which is a little strange and awkward, but really neat too. This whole blogging and receiving messages from strangers was really out of my comfort zone at first, but it is getting better. (a little) The parking at FBC Houston is CRAZY the first couple of weeks, but it gets better. I hope you checked out Beth's blog too. I may be totally off and you may not even be considering Beth's study, but I hope you do! You won't be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteLooks like such fun in the SUN!!!
ReplyDeleteAm anxious to read your decorating & cooking posts- you should absolutely do what feels (and is) right for you and not worry about anyone else (easier said than done, I realize).
I'd love to know how you keep toys organized (specifically Leg0's). They are quickly becoming a thorn in my side- but my little one is in heaven with them!
Thanks Kim-
Sooo jealous! Although it wasn't bitterly cold, it was kind of rainy today! We are glad to start our routine back tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! That looks awfully appealing to a northerner about right now! :) Hope you are enjoying the fun in the sun!
ReplyDeleteBTW Kim....you asked what medication they gave Sophie....she actually had an IV or IGG....it is a gammaglobulin product
Have a great week!
~Deb
Oh to be swimming in January - or to just be able to go outside for that matter - I must say I am very envious! Can we come visit?! We are bundled up in front of a fire looking at the snow outside. Just getting back from holiday travel and catching up. Looks like you had a great Christmas and a fun NYE! Wish you and your family all the best in the New Year - may it bring you lots of happiness!!!
ReplyDelete- Bridget
Love the pictures and love your pool. We are putting a pool in this spring but we won't be swimming in it until probably June...can I come to your warm house : ) I really hate winter in Chicago. I am a CA girl through and through...The kids are adorable and the pictures are awesome!!!
ReplyDeletewe hit a record in Dallas yesterday at 84' and today the high was 44' oh TX weather. But those pictures looked straight out of the summer. Don't you love that Kate Mack ballerina swimsuit? I bought it last year....a year before I would even see my girl's sweet face!! Looks cute on Kate Emerson.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week, and look forward to some of your photo and decorating post. Would love it if you did some more post on gluten free cooking. I was diagnosed with Celiac in May, and slowly making progress in my diet, but always looking for good ideas, brands(that taste good) and recipes.
Fabulous photos!
ReplyDeleteAh, only in the south is this possible! :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you found a bible study to join. :) This makes my heart very happy for you. Quiet time daily is so important and I am working on my dedication in this effort too this year. Good Luck!
LA
Oh Kim, that sunshine looks beautiful, we have already had a long winter! Sounds like you and your peanuts are enjoying your new surroundings. Happy New Year. I am back to blogging for a bit so stop by if you get a chance, miss you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the prayers especially and for the earring info.! Susannah is doing extraordinarily well and, I think ear piercing will be on our agenda once the boys go back to school! I know some family members will have their "two cents" but that is all that is, right!?! thanks for the shopping tip too!
ReplyDeleteAbout backing up, I am a bit obsessed but I really don't like losing photos and I have had a memory card go corrupt and lost some, so I learned the hard way. A computer crash can do the same thing! Go back up your photos!!!
L
Great pictures for January 4!!! I am jealous!! It is great that you found a Bible Study too!! Our church is doing a program this year where you read a chapter a day of the work week, of the new Testament starting with Matthew and you will read the whole New Testament in the year, and we supplied journals and have small groups to discuss what we read.... it is going to be great! Hope yours is just as good!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
LOVE the pictures! Very cool! And how fun to be able to go swimming in January!
ReplyDeleteRegarding your previous post... Write what you want. It's your blog. People can choose to read it or not. It's their choice, just like it's your blog. (I hope that's coming out right - trying to be encouraging!)
Big Hugs!
Oh Miss Kim, I am so glad you are showing everyone your style . Since I know how pretty and welcoming your house is your readers are in for a treat. I have to say, though, that the decorating blogs are addictive. After reading them I want to completely redecorate and as you know our house is only two years old!!
ReplyDeletexo, T
Cruel you! we are in snow and cold :). the sun looks FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, winter storm headed this way...wahhhhhhhhh. Miss Kate and boys look darling splashing about. Thanks for giving me some of encouragement that the winter will pass and summer will come again!
ReplyDeleteHappy Heat wave:)
Heather
I adore her swimsuit! Too cute! She is such a sweetie and your pics, as always, are fabulous! Even straight out of the camera!
