Thank you Diana and Denise for the beautiful flowers!
I need some time away from the blog world. I am overwhelmed with some things here and my family really needs my complete attention. While posting to the blog is not time consuming, checking in on everyone else and corresponding really can take a lot of time. I love blogging and all of the friends I have made here but my family REALLY needs me right now. I can get sucked in by the computer and before I know it an hour (or more) is gone. I just don't have that extra time right now.
So, I will be checking out for a little while. I hope to post a little about our Thanksgiving but until then I will not be blogging.
I wish you a blessed time of Thanksgiving.
Please pray for Harry.
I will miss you while you take this break. as a young mom far from my own family i really look for role models and you are definantly one of mine. I love your style, you are a very caring mother and a wonderful person. i hope the problems within your life find a solution and i wish harry the best. I will keep him in my thoughts.

I will be praying an extra prayer for sweet Harry, his smile always warms my heart, such a special soul. I know the move and changes have been such a big thing to such a small little guy... I am just so sorry and wish I could help in some way. I will pray for him Kim. Prayers can move mountains...
ReplyDeleteI so understand about the time thing. I have had to limit my posts to 2x a week. Sunday I made a decision to keep the PC off and was so amazed at the things I accomplished. (Me and a magic eraser together;))
The flowers are lovely, I pray you have a beautiful Thanksgiving.
Aw- good luck with everything!! This is a crazy time of year to feel at all unorganized. Smiles!

We are so looking forward to the holiday. Each year it seems that we need this break and time to just slow down and enjoy each other and this year we are especially looking forward to having Hillary home with us again, if only for a few days.
Wendy

I will be praying for all of you and I pray you get your house in order so you can have some more free time. I know what you mean about the computer. I don't have NEAR the blog friends you do but it does take me at least an hour to check on everyone and comment. I just don't know what I will do when I move to Mexico and we don't have DSL anymore! Yikes!

Hi and happy birthday Kim~
ReplyDeleteI completely understand the need to pull away. I have had to do this significantly recently because I've noticed that I don't give God, local friends, family, and projects the attention they need/deserve because I get caught up in trying to keep up. To make things even worse, I find myself wondering what on earth is wrong with me that others "seem" to do everything seamlessly...If something becomes more burdensome than enjoyable, it might not be as important in the big scheme of things.
I pray you will be able to focus on what is most important to you and that it will bring you joy and peace. I pray for your health, your family's, and everyone's happiness and emotional well-being.
Keep in touch when you're able.
Love,
Lisa

ReplyDeleteLifting your family, and especially Harry, up in prayers. I have really limited my posts recently because it was all-consuming and I spent far too much time away from my family. I love checking in on my blogging friends and although I would love to update my own more often, I no longer feel guilty when I don't. Blessings to you and a peaceful Thanksgiving.
Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteI continue to lift your family, Harry especially, in my daily prayers. I hope that things are getting better.
Ash

ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time away. This time of year is so crazy! I hope you and your family have a fabulous Thanksgiving! :)
I have been missing reading your blog, but completely understand why you needed to take a break. I too, get so sucked into reading blogs that before I know it, so much time has passed and then I feel behind the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything is going well with your family. And being selfish here, I hope you start up again with your blog sooner than later. I truly miss reading your posts and would love to see more photos of your beautiful home.
Have a truly splendid Thanksgiving.
Susie
Just wanted you to know I am thinking about you today and praying that all is well. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim (again),
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad, but I don't have your new email...so I thought I would contact you through your blog:) I hope you guys are doing well, and your bloggy break is just what you needed!
I was wondering if I could bug you with a question? Chris was thinking about getting me a camera for my birthday/xmas this year. I thought you would be a good resource. Will you tell me what is a good camera to get on the lower price range, like $500-$800, and what would be your dream camera and cost..$1,000-$1,500. Should I get some lenses to go with it, do you have any that you suggest? I love the portrait lense that Melissa had, great for close ups and stuff. THANK YOU for your help! I know if I am not specific I will wind up with something that I don't want:)
Love to you!!! C
PS I was at Archys getting a sandwhich and I ran into your good girlfriend...she recently had a boy (I coudn't remember her name)! But, I started talking to her and she said she misses you SOO much and talks to you often! You are so loved:)
I am keeping your family in my prayers. I hope you enjoy this season & that your beautiful kitchen is filled with family, warmth and all the yummy smells of Thanksgiving.
