Upstairs Hall
We got the house! Well, we don't close for a few weeks and we need to do inspections etc...But the above photos are of what ought to be the new Peanut home. This is a brand new house. The reason it is furnished in these images is that it was "staged" for a photo shoot and showcase. Dave and I are not feeling too excited yet. I think we have had such a challenging time finding something that we are wary. The real estate market here is the only one in the US that is actually thriving and booming. Prices are super high and the market is very competitive in the areas we want to live in. We were not prepared for that. It took us a long time to realize how little we would actually get here for our money (in town). We are all excited to settle in here and make this house our home. Thanks for all your your good wishes and prayers.
Hooray, I had just sent you an e mail asking about the house. I hope that this will finally be your new beginning~
ReplyDeleteYour new house is so beautiful- just like your family. What a special house to begin your family life in your new city. I know it is scary to be buying right now, but I believe God will protect you and bless you! Have fun planning all those amazing rooms you will be decorating... I know your wheels are spinning :)!!! Bless you this day!

ReplyDeleteI look forward to following your photography blog. You have more talent than you realize, I love your work. I still have no clue what I am doing sometimes... just clicking!;) I need to learn more about manual mode lighting etc. I would love to learn how to edit more like Deb does -love what she does in lightroom- but I need more time in the day!;)
Have a wonderful weekend.
Looks like a beautiful house! Sending good thoughts and prayers that you get it and get totally settled soon, very soon. Can't wait to check out your photog blog. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteI learned how to use photoshop using the shabbyprincess.com tutorials. They were great! Let me know if you have any questions. I'd love to help if I can!
Blessings,
Jenn
The new house looks great! is the new one (of the new vs older home) that you were trying to decide between. I think it looks great, I was pro older house which is funny since I live in a new house made to look older. Duh.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to take some classes on photography too. I would like it to be an actual class instead of on line so I will be forced to pay better attention. I belong to the clickin moms group but haven't gotten much out of it yet.
Congratulations on the house!
Yay on the new house. LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteYay on your new hobby and blog. LOVE it.

ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best in making your new house a home!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Your new home looks so beautiful. The huge plus (obviously)of a new house is that you won't have to do any work, or worry about anything going wrong for a long time. With the craziness you've endured, that will be such a welcome relief. Best of luck with the packing and settling in. You'll have a wonderful holiday season in your new digs!
ReplyDeleteYEAH...your family has a home! I am so happy and hope that settlement goes smoothly. You have endured your share of rough days.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to your photography blog. I love taking photos but feel like I haven't put much effort in to getting better or taking the beautiful shots you take. You will continue to inspire me with photography, and in so many ways!

ReplyDeleteWonderful News!! Welcome to TX 3peanuts!The house is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI know oh-so-well adjusting after the aftermath of a hurricane! We lost our WHOLE HOME in Rita the devastation is enormous and the emotions you encounter are indescribable. I viewed pictures of Galveston/Houston and I had to log off it brought back to many memories. My heart goes out to the many people who are faced w/the enormity of it all! I live about hour and half from Houston and we were hit rather hard in our community as well, one neighboring community of Bridge City has only about 50 or so homes that "survived" it had over 3500 homes!!!
Woooohooooo! How happy! It is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am excited about your blog. Yes, you are not a professional yet.... but! You have the eye and talent... and that my friend sometimes just can not be learned... I am so excited to see more of your photos.

I'm so happy that you will now have a home to call your own. The house looks beautiful, and after you put your special touches to it, it will be yours. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the peanuts living there.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it ALL!!! So Happy for you!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you finally got your house. I love the new one and while the old one was really cool, the new one has the space you need so I am so happy you got it.
ReplyDeleteI too so badly want to get more into photography. I love my camera but want to get another lense that is an 18 to 200 to 250. I need an all in one becuase I am not one to change my lense much. Do you have an all in one. I know your camera came with a 18 to 135-- i think but not sure. Anyway, glad all is getting back to normal and I hope you get in your house soon!!!
Christy :)
Happy home!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have a place to call your own (and grateful it looks as if it was spared during the hurricane).
Meg
