We had a wonderful time with our friends last night celebrating Chinese New Year. Here are some collages of our festivities. The slideshow is a litte long. I am so glad that we have met Denise and her family!
Oranges are considered good luck for the new year, Kate's chopsticks, cupcakes Harry and I made, red envelopes for the kids, red tulips, CNY decorations, Asian pastries (they were not a hit), some sweet gifts from Denise, and more decorations.

Speaking of being proud...Will was selected as Star Student this week! Harry has been chosen a few times this year but this was Will's first time. Great job Will!
I am finding lots of things to do with my "found" time since I am not blogging for Lent. I have been quite crafty. I have made a beautiful set of coasters, some cards, a little Valentine with Kate and the Chinese New Year banner in the pictures.
Here are the coasters I made at MOPS, Kate's first craft (a valentine butterfly), and my banner.
Next week, I will share the wonderful surprise Dave has planned for Valentine's Day!
Have a good week !
I had to check in quick before we leave for church. Wow! What a fun celebration you had. I love your banner!

ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a great celebration of the Chinese New Year. How neat that Denise and her family live so close to you and you can share these special times together! In the slideshow, the pictures of Kate with her face in her hands and the one of her on Dave's shoulders are precious. How exciting that Kate is talking so much. Can't wait to hear some of the things she comes up with! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Will on being Star Student!

ReplyDeleteHi Kimber...
ReplyDeleteI just remembered that Libby's bed does not have a box spring... I bought a top mattress and a "bunkie board" (just a flat piece of plywood covered with fabric that fits over the slats). It is a low bed... I thought I should let you know just in case... hope you are all having a wonderful Valentine's celebration! Erin
I LOVE the decorations! The fun & joy is contagious, and your boys & Kate are so cute helping with the preparations. I am inspired by all of the love and care you give to your family. It makes me want to try harder myself!
