One Year Blogiversary!
Monday, January 7, 2008
Today is the one year anniversary of when I began this blog. How time flies! Honestly, I had never even heard of a blog before and then somehow, I came across this adorable family. I think I spent hours reading their story from start to finish. And then I found them and them and I was hooked. It was so wonderful to know that there were so many other families out there going through the exact same things we were experiencing.
So, about a month before our referral I started this blog as a way to share the news and our trip with our long distance friends and family. I never imagined that I would find such a supportive network of Moms and Dads and other adoptive families. I am truly grateful to each and every one of you that has cheered us along on this amazing journey. This blog as been a great outlet for me and it has grown into more than just a way to update our long distance loved ones.

I'm so glad that you entered the blogging world and that I got to "meet" you this year. It's been a pleasure getting to know your family through your blog. I, too, never imagined there were so many other adoptive families out there and that this community was so wonderful and supportive. Here's to another year of blogging!
ReplyDeleteI for one am glad that you started your blog or we never would have met and become friends. Your support of our adoption so far has been wonderful...just reading back through you blog helps so much. I am having a hard day today, not sure why, but I find myself blogging and reading about other families and their journeys, almost to remind myself that Maggie will be here, that this waiting will all be worth it when I hold my daughter in my arms. Thanks again for your support and friendship...say a little prayer that I get out of this "funk."
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! And how cute to remember & celebrate it! I am so glad that you did find my blog because I am truly blessed to have you as a friend now (you really do give the best advice!)
ReplyDeleteAnd your blog has come so far- your photos and words are so beautiful (just like you)!

ReplyDeleteShana was tge first blog I found too. About 9 months before we traveled for Hannah I found it. Their story, Sophie's video, their precious family helped get me through the wait. I didn't know our family was one of your first blogs. I am so thankful you found us and kept visiting.
We went to Hilton Head for Nicholas' birthday and I was thinking of how fun it will be to see you all this summer.
Big Hug to you all!
Thanks for spending this year sharing your story with us!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! Our paths would have crossed anyway;) But so happy that we can check in and that Hannah can see her friend Kate all the time. Blessings for another year of blogging fun - it is evident how you inspire others!

Happy 1 year to you Kim. I was thrilled to find your blog one year ago, one of the very first I started following. It has been amazing to watch your family "grow". Your posts and pictures are always so heartfelt, and I feel very blessed to call you "friend". I look forward to sharing more "Blogiversaries" with you :)
ReplyDeleteMany blessings to you and your family!
Kim, what an amazing journey. I too started blogging last year, BUT after we had been home a year. I don't know how I found you but I'm thankful I did! I just love popping in daily to see what you and your family have been up to. And like you I love reading Deb and Daleea's tales of their precious children. I find it so refreshing to know that we do have someplace we can go when we just need a shoulder to cry on or someone to laugh with us.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary my friend!
Rony
My sister adopted her little Katie from China in May 2004. Katie is such an important part of my sister and BIL's lives but also in the lives of their extended family (grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins). I think that my sister and BIL are waiting for number two little one.
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteKeep up the lovely blog!
Happy 1 year to your wonderful blog!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to have found you.
