Little Miss Sunshine

Tuesday, January 22, 2008
Well, we had a 5 day weekend due to snow and a school holiday and I am glad everyone (except Kate) is back at work and school today! Here is a little bit of what Miss Kate got up to this weekend. I was doing the laundry and usually Kate Emerson likes to help me transfer the clothes from the washer to the dryer. However, since the boys were home, she wandered into their rooms looking for them. She was very quiet. Then Will started laughing and said "Mom, come see what Kate did!" This is what I found.

Uh-oh. How did this happen?

I better clean this up.

After that little episode, Kate discovered a ray of sunshine streaming through Will's room. She thought it was the funniest thing. She tried to catch the dust...I mean sunshine she saw floating in the air.

I love this sunshine!!!
This last one is really out of focus because she was vibrating with excitement.
And in case you are wondering...yes, sometimes Kate does wear a bow when she is in her pajamas. She doesn't like her hair in her eyes:0)

  3. Oh Kate is just too precious! And I love that the camera was out of focus because of her "vibrating" with excitement.

Last summer you posted a poem that I just loved so much, I never forgot it. Last night, I finally got around to creating something with it. I just wanted to thank you for sharing something that I treasure so much!

  4. If only we could all spend more time catching sunshine. Loved this post.

(And I used to carry the toilet paper through the entire house. Amazing she kept it confined to one room!).

  40. What a beautiful, beautiful little girl. Her smile is precious. And I adore the bow. Relish every moment you have with her and the boys because they grow up so fast and then they reach the age where they like being with their friends or lock themselves in their rooms rather than being with the family. (And they reach the age where dresses and bows are for babies.) I miss those days of dressing my daughter up so "girlie" in the big hair bows and the cutest Lily P. dresses. And my sons in penny loafers and polos. Those days are gone to t-shirts and jeans.
