I just had to tell all of Georgia Blogger friends that Dave and I went to see the B-52's in concert tonight! When they introduced themselves they said they were "just a little Georgia dance band." I thought they were a one hit wonder but I discovered tonight they might have actually been a 3 hit wonder (Roam, Rock Lobster and Love Shack). We had fun! We danced! It was only the second time we have left Kate at night with a sitter!
Thank you for all of the prayers and good wishes for Jeff. Diana has left an update here in the comments section for you all to read. Jeff is doing much better but please continue to pray. The doctors are treating him for Lyme's Disease and he is responding. You can see their China journey (which is really beautiful) at this site.
Kim,
ReplyDeleteI actually just emailed you. I'm glad you had fun tonight! It's nice that you were able to get out and have some grown up fun. Hope you had a great weekend.
I will continue to keep Jeff in my prayers.
Danielle
Dear Kim and all of her loyal blog visitors:
ReplyDeleteThank you for praying for Jeff. We are still waiting for a final diagnosis, but we do believe that the inflamation of his spinal cord and brain is being caused by a viral infection from Lymes Disease. We have a lake home in northern, MN and most likely Jeff was bitten by a Deer Tick. Jeff has responded amazingly well to a heavey duty steroid and anti-biotic that was started last night. His double vision is almost gone, and he was able to stand today with a little assistance. It has been a scary couple of days but, I am so much more at peace than I was last night. I know it is all of the prayers being lifted up that God is answering on our behalf. We are grateful for your prayers, and we are hopeful that this good news is not temporary. It is Ruby Mei's 1st birthday on Tuesday and Jeff is devastated that he most likely will not be home with us. If it is OK, I plan to take the cake and the birthday girl for a short visit. To those of you who followed our journey to Ruby, thank you. I will update both of our sites in the next few days.
Blessings to all of you and thank you again for this incredible outpouring of support. Kim, I am forever grateful!
Hugs,
Diana

Thank you for rallying so many prayer warriors for Jeff!!!
Kim,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reassuring words on my blog! You are very sweet!
Isn't it strange, logically, I realize every word you said, yet, when my emotions get the best of me, I still can't stand the wait...
But I do know, the perfect daughter for our family, is waiting for us, to come at just the right time...
B52's - one hit wonder!? Really? I have several albums! Just love them, Rome is one of my favs!
I will continue to pray for Jeff, so glad to hear he is recovering.
Sounds like such fun! Glad you and Dave had a nice night out. We celebrate our anniversary this week and are going to an oldies musical in the historic district. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear Jeff is responding - praise! My nephew returned from a trip abroad the beginning of the month and one of his friends became ill with spinal meningitis just as they arrived in Boston - he had drunk the remainder of her soda and eaten her sandwich the day before. It was very scary. I thought about Diana and her family all night and appreciate your interceding on their behalf so that we all might be able to pray for their family. Have a great week.
Heather

Glad you had a fun night out!
ReplyDelete"Love Shack" reminds me of Cedar Point...seems to be the song they play while you wait to ride all of the coasters...or at least it was the last time I was there.
Glad your friend is on the mend.
